Jordan Reyes | Prep Redzone Scout
Cargill is an explosive, high-upside athlete with the tools to contribute on both sides of the ball at the college level but excels at WR. At 6’0” 170 lbs. he combines smooth movement with verified track speed (10.8 100m, 21.96 200m), allowing him to stress defenses vertically and create separation at all three levels. He bursts off the line with a strong drive phase, utilizes a variety of release moves, and breaks off defenders with sharp, tempo controlled routes. Tracks the deep ball with ease, extends naturally at the catch, and easily adjusts to off-target throws with balance and coordination. Finishes tough catches in tight windows and is a problem after the catch being able to slip tackles, cut quickly in space, and accelerate into space. With three early D1 offers, he’s a fast rising prospect whose natural ability, speed, and playmaking will result into more recruiting attention going into his junior year.
3 Offers: Sacramento State, Portland State, Hawaii

Cargill is one of the fastest prospects across the Northern California region, and should have a breakout Junior season for Cardinal Newman in 2025. He is a true deep threat play maker with a huge catch radius, strong hands in traffic and can win with high-point abilities at the point of attack. He is explosive with the ball in his hands and can make defenders miss in the open field and should see plenty of FBS offers come his way after his Junior season for this loaded Newman squad.

Cargill is a dynamic athlete with a wide skillset that makes him recruitable on either side of the ball at WR or DB. 6’0” 170 lbs. he’s fluid with his movement and possesses track level speed running a 10.8 100 meter and 21.96 200 meter. At receiver, he can attack all three levels of the field using his speed and advanced route running. He accelerates hard off the ball for a strong drive phase and carries a good variety of release moves to avoid contact and get into his route. Natural ball skills, he shows good judgement and tracking skills with the body control and coordination to adjust. Extends at the catch point to play the ball away from his body and make tough contested receptions in traffic. Explosive after the catch, he’s able to weave his way through defenders and then accelerate out of his cuts to extend gains. Recruitment is just getting started with D1 offers coming in from Sacramento State and Portland State.
