National Preps Spring Showcase - Under the Radar 2025 WR's

<p>The National Preps Showcase is the premier event for MD area prospects to get seen by 50+ schools in one setting. Moving on to reviewing some of the WRs who stood out during the Showcase. All these players got great exposure and showed me a lot during the day as I was on the field for the entire event. I feel the below mentioned WRs are all under valued as prospects, poised to breakout this fall and see their recruitment take off. </p>    <p class="text-gray-700">Josiah is a WR who came into the camp with some hype. He backed that up as he shined throughout the day and made some impact catches in 1v1s. Measuring in at 6'4" with a 76 1/2" wingspan he has ideal size/length. A 3 sport athlete as well, Josiah plays basketball and runs the 300M hurdles in track. Josiah showed strong route running in drills, being able to stick his foot in the ground making the DB open up his hips before making the break and creating separation for himself. Josiah is a great leaper, showing off that skill in 1v1s going up over the DBs head to snag down a pass. A strong red zone threat as well, could even see Josiah developing into a flex TE down the line once in college. Currently holding 3 FCS offers; don't be surprised if he garners more offers at the FCS & FBS level as I expect him to have a big senior year this fall. </p>    <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/Josiah_Teasley/status/1719143978686087229 </div></figure>    <p class="text-gray-700">Noah was a nice surprise on the day as he stood-out as a top player all camp long. During drills he displayed quick feet and smooth movements. A strong route runner, able to stem his routes and make quick strong cuts with no loss of speed. A smooth runner all around. Will decelerate and drop his weight with no wasted motion in his routes and will explode out and accelerate back to top speed quickly. All day long he showed strong hands. Noah catches the ball away from his body and can snatch it out the air, keeping it away from the defender. In 1v1s Noah won many of his reps. Was able to get off press well, continued showing his excellent route running skills getting space from the DB creating easy completions from the QB. Noah also showed great ball skills all day long. He can go up and high point the pass, putting his body in the right position to make himself an easy target for the QB. For his Jr season, Noah had a great year with over 1,000yds receiving with an avg of 20YPR and 10 TDs. He spent the summer at many FCS/D2 camps performing well and should continue to get interest from those level of schools. He is a nice versatile WR, able to play in the slot or out wide and a playmaker across all 3 levels of the passing game. For a prospect who lead the state in receiving last season, getting ever better is a scary thing for future defenses. A player who has burst/acceleration and nice speed, with a self reported 4.45 40, Miles gets by DBs consistently and quickly. He fires off the snap and stems his route pushing vertically and getting the DB on his heels, allowing great separation when he makes his cuts/breaks. Dynamic and able to shift gears with nice body control, Miles is a technician at the position. Along with his standout camp performance I have gotten eyes on Miles at some recent 7v7 where he has also been dominate. Continues to fill out his frame and get stronger every time I see him. Has shown great deep threat ability, getting behind the defense for big play scores almost every drive in 7v7s. Miles is also playing Safety and making a strong showing that he can play that position at the next level as well. Covering lots of ground quickly as a rover and able to read the pass and make a play on it consistently. During 1 game I saw him go up high point and snatch the ball for an interception and then the exact next play on offense he beat 2 defenders deep for a deep ball TD. Miles holds 1 FCS offer from Maine at this stage and he should be collecting many more in the coming months. An athletic prospect who can be an impact play on either side of the ball at the next level should not be overlooked by colleges and Miles is going to be a steal of a player for some program. </p>    <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/Mileswh26/status/1737204990156964291 </div></figure>    <p class="text-gray-700">This was my first time getting eyes on Trey live and he showcased a strong skill set in his performance on the day. A good body kid, at 184lbs. with a frame that will continue to fill out nicely. Trey also measured in with a 74" wingspan which is good length for his height. During the event I witnessed Trey display good twitch in his movements. He has loose hips and is able shift his weight quickly in his breaks for quick change of direction that throws the DB off balance. Trey has good wiggle and makes defenders miss in tight windows and is strong with the ball in his hands. He is best a slot WR who you can get the ball to quickly and allow him to make a play in space. </p>    <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/LearTrey/status/1724755352053268789 </div></figure>    <p class="text-gray-700">Damon is a player I've know as he was a senior at South Hagerstown HS (MD) this past fall and is not doing a PG at Jireh Prep (NC). He showcased his talent once again at the NP Showcase before he heads down to JP for his post-grad year as a now 2025 prospect. He came in measuring 6'3 1/2" with a nice wingspan of 77 1/2". So a nice size big body WR who can be used in multiple ways. Damon showed smooth movements and COD for his size during routes and drills. He has a big catch radius with his size/length and is a strong red zone target. Basketball player as well, Damon is a good athlete who is consistently capable of going up and high pointing the ball and out jumping defenders. With his size, I like Damon as a big X receiver or growing into being a multi-use TE as the next level.
