I have seen Miles many times this spring/summer and I could not be more impressed with his development. For a prospect who lead the state in receiving last season, getting ever better is a scary thing for future defenses. A player who has burst/acceleration and nice speed, with a self reported 4.45 40, Miles gets by DBs consistently and quickly. He fires off the snap and stems his route pushing vertically and getting the DB on his heels, allowing great separation when he makes his cuts/breaks. Dynamic and able to shift gears with nice body control, Miles is a technician at the position. Along with his standout camp performance I have gotten eyes on Miles at some recent 7v7 where he has also been dominate. Continues to fill out his frame and get stronger every time I see him. Has shown great deep threat ability, getting behind the defense for big play scores almost every drive in 7v7s. Miles is also playing Safety and making a strong showing that he can play that position at the next level as well. Covering lots of ground quickly as a rover and able to read the pass and make a play on it consistently. During 1 game I saw him go up high point and snatch the ball for an interception and then the exact next play on offense he beat 2 defenders deep for a deep ball TD. Miles holds 1 FCS offer from Maine at this stage and he should be collecting many more in the coming months. An athletic prospect who can be an impact play on either side of the ball at the next level should not be overlooked by colleges and Miles is going to be a steal of a player for some program.

Halbert is beginning to separate himself from the pack, showing value on both side of the ball for Nothern, on film his ball skills are highlighted. Offensively he recorded 1,955 yards and 19 receiving touchdowns, and 3 rushing touchdowns. His dominant performance has him ranked with the 4th most receiving yards in the country by Max Preps, #1 in Maryland. He has a knack for tracking down the deep ball even through traffic. In the open field after the catch, he shows some elusiveness and impressive footwork. Defensively he’s a help in the run game making plays around the LOS and is a weapon when the ball is in the air. He had 4 interceptions and 68 total tackles last season. It can go either way for Halbert, he’s lethal on offense and a strong piece at safety on defense.

Miles had one heck of an outstanding junior campaign, setting the state record for single season receiving yards with 1,955yds and being an All-State team selection. He is a dual sport athlete as well, recently running a 6.57 55m for indoor track. Miles can do it all at the receiver position. Line up out wide or play in the slot, get vertical or take the quick pass for big gains. Miles has great burst and acceleration, can shift it into next gear quickly and before you know it he is by you. Extremely sure handed, he catches everything. Will pluck the ball out the air and can go up and get it or make the spectacular catch. A dynamic playmaker, Miles shows good wiggle, speed/acceleration, and a very smooth runner. I expect big things out of Miles again for his senior season and he will be an offer kid.

Miles is a weapon for northern offensively and defensively, when the ball is in the air he is a threat. He attacks the ball in the air and does a good job of tracking the ball to make the contested catch. With the ball in his hands, he has some elusiveness in his game, he can stick his foot in the ground and make a couple guys miss. He’s racked up 900+ yards and 9 touchdowns. Defensively Halbert flies around making plays on the ball deep down field. Keep an eye on Halbert, he has the skill and the opportunities on both sides of the ball to make impact plays.
