Halbert is beginning to separate himself from the pack, showing value on both side of the ball for Nothern, on film his ball skills are highlighted. Offensively he recorded 1,955 yards and 19 receiving touchdowns, and 3 rushing touchdowns. His dominant performance has him ranked with the 4th most receiving yards in the country by Max Preps, #1 in Maryland. He has a knack for tracking down the deep ball even through traffic. In the open field after the catch, he shows some elusiveness and impressive footwork. Defensively he’s a help in the run game making plays around the LOS and is a weapon when the ball is in the air. He had 4 interceptions and 68 total tackles last season. It can go either way for Halbert, he’s lethal on offense and a strong piece at safety on defense.
Highlights
Piner has been a top receiver in this class for the past two years but is still yet to gain traction in the recruiting trail. This season Piner had at least 1 receiving touchdown in every game, ending the season with 12 total. He also had 5 games with 100+ yards, including his biggest game with 183 yards on 7 receptions. Piner has made making big plays a normal thing for him and more than doubled productivity since his sophomore season. He’s still trending up and I don’t expect him to slow down any time soon, this next season could be huge for DJ.
Wilmore is a new name to burst onto the scene, making noise with a 1st team all-county selection and a 2A/1A All-state selection. Wilmore is a prospect that is heating up and should be on your radar to have a big season in 2024. He’s one heck of an athlete playing offense and defense for Williamsport and making an impact on both. He has impressive size at 6’2 205lbs, has good run after catch ability to make defenders miss and bounce off of weak tackles. Ceonta has multiple 40+ yard touchdowns, some deep balls and others he makes plays with his feet, he’s a weapon that can be used various ways. Defensively he uses that size and athleticism to fly around from his safety and linebacker position, he has the skillset to make a really good strong safety or nickel. Wilmore will be exciting to watch, track his development, a prospect with his attributes from a small school could be a steal for the class of 25 recruiting class.
Jones is a big play threat for Northwestern he has plenty of long receptions down field, using his height and speed to his advantage. He can take the top off but even more impressively can make the catch through heavy traffic. Jones was named first team all-county and landed 2 offers from Central Connecticut and Long Island University. Jones definitely has the playmaking ability to be a gamer changer next season.
Pierson is a prospect who’s made major strides and found his place on a stacked Milford team. This season he recorded 600+ yards with 4 touchdowns, after the catch he runs with authority, muscling through first contact and showing his strength by carrying defenders for extra yards. With the loss of a few key seniors Pearson will be looked to, to play a bigger role on the offense.
