About Trey
Expert Analysis
Vic Castillo | Prep Redzone Scout
6’0-6’1, 170 pounds. Can provide quality reps at wideout or DB for Phoenixville. Narrowly cracked the Top 300.
Type of athlete you can install pre-snap motion sets for. A jet-sweep starts off Lear’s junior tape, next rep has Lear working inside out at wide receiver, scoring on both of these reps. A playmaker at the HS level, can accelerate past DB angles, likely a good combine tester too. Has experience playing close to the LOS at DB, outside corner reps showcased on tape. Around turnovers, active hands have Lear causing multiple fumbles while attempting to clean up tackles. Has experience playing off coverage, two interceptions reeled in after keeping eyes on the QB. One of the better all-around contributors and recruits that should be high on PSAC boards in my opinion.

This was my first time getting eyes on Trey live and he showcased a strong skill set in his performance on the day. A good body kid, at 184lbs. with a frame that will continue to fill out nicely. Trey also measured in with a 74″ wingspan which is good length for his height. During the event I witnessed Trey display good twitch in his movements. He has loose hips and is able shift his weight quickly in his breaks for quick change of direction that throws the DB off balance. Trey has good wiggle and makes defenders miss in tight windows and is strong with the ball in his hands. He is best a slot WR who you can get the ball to quickly and allow him to make a play in space.
