All-Underappreciated Team: Offensive Line

You can't play offensive line if your someone who craves and expects appreciation. His leg drive is excellent and he's athletic enough to get across gaps to seal on reach blocks and get to the second level. Despite being a multi-year starter, Whitt has just now started to get some of the recognition on the recruiting trail, grabbing a handful of offers from Division II schools. However, I have an FCS grade of the talented guard. He's played both right and left tackle and is a strong run blocker and out in front of screens. If there's a spot to improve, he could do a bit better at keeping balanced pass blocking posture and working on having his strength translate a bit more frequently in pass sets. He has some experience at tackle, but his best position is guard, where his powerful leg drive in the running game clears holes for his running backs. He's nasty in the running game and loves to finish blocks. He'll occasionally get off-balance, but can usually correct and use his strength to recover. He has good strength in the passing game and with a bit more technique refinement, is a future college talent.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
