2026 Prospects New to the Top 100

<p><strong><em>For a discounted subscription to view all of our content, use Code PRZWV30 at checkout for 30% off!</em></strong></p>   <p>The 2026 rankings have grown by 25 since our Spring Update as 150 of the best 2026 prospects in West Virginia are now represented on our site. Here are the new prospects who made their debut in the 2026 summer rankings update inside of the Top 100.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>NEW TO THE TOP 100</strong></h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">An exciting new addition to the 2026 rankings since our spring update is Oak Hill DL [player_tooltip player_id='928035' first='James' last='Ludwig']. Ludwig got his sophomore film posted since our last update and his potential and upside are some of the best in this class. Standing at 6'3 220, Ludwig projects as a defensive end to the next level as he continues to fill out his big frame. He's already caught the attention of WV State as the Yellow Jackets extended him his first offer back in June. Ludwig is a long and explosive athlete with a quick first step and good short-area quickness. He uses his hands well at this early stage of his career and is very strong at the point of attack. If Ludwig doesn't beat his man on his first step, he has the strength to blow bigger offensive linemen off the ball and is very disruptive. He has good pursuit speed for his size and is an athlete who can win at the line of scrimmage while also creating havoc in the backfield with TFLs and sacks. </p>   <p>If Ludwig continues to develop over the next two years, he'll be a highly sought-after prospect by the time he's a senior. </p>      <p class="text-gray-700">2026 Lincoln QB [player_tooltip player_id='1234064' first='AJ' last='Bart'] had a breakout sophomore season for the Cougars and carried that momentum into our combine event where he earned QB MVP honors. Bart stood out amongst some very good and highly ranked fellow quarterbacks at the event and answered our questions for him before the camp without film to evaluate. We knew he was talented before seeing him in person based on the number he put up last season, but getting eyes on him live confirmed our suspicion and impressed the college coaches in attendance. Bart throws with great touch and is an accurate passer at all levels. He operated the Lincoln offense like a veteran last season even as a first-year starter and showed to have the calm and coolness for a young quarterback. </p>   <p class="text-gray-700">Bart still has limited film posted right now but he's one to watch over the next two seasons and has a high ceiling for the position as his body further matures and gets bigger and stronger. </p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/AJBart6/status/1786908482450387122 </div></figure>     <p class="text-gray-700">We're expecting 2026 Cabell Midland LB [player_tooltip player_id='1159650' first='Justin' last='Sterling'] to have a bigger role and breakout year this season as the Knights will need some new faces to step up in 2024. Sterling picked up his first offer from WV State last month and has some momentum heading into his junior year. With limited game film, this is mostly a projection ranking with Sterling needing to back it up on the field this season which we believe he'll do. </p>   <p class="text-gray-700">From seeing his limited film and clips on X, Sterling has the size and athleticism to develop into the player that we think he'll be, and are excited to watch him apply it to the field more this season. </p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/_sterling_06/status/1802189950445670606 </div></figure>     <p class="text-gray-700">The next two new additions to the rankings are tied together with each having the same story as Jefferson WRs without much game film but had good performances out at our combine event back in May. That starts with WR [player_tooltip player_id='1260005' first='Tre'Von' last='Ledbetter'] who had a strong showing at both receiver and defensive back at our camp and could flip to DB in the rankings in the future depending on what film is available this season. The Cougars will have a talented receiver group for the next two seasons with a strong 2026 class which will be fun to watch play out to see which ones emerge as the alpha. </p>   <p>Ledbetter will start as the early leader in that group, but we'll need to see the production on the field this year and next to back it up. </p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/treyboog_/status/1786899494379950242 </div></figure>     <p class="text-gray-700">The second Jefferson Cougar with the same story as Ledbetter who impressed at our combine but has limited game film is [player_tooltip player_id='1206525' first='Ricardo' last='Lewis']. He's a bit longer with some solid testing numbers at our camp and earned a WR Top Performer spot as an unknown heading into the event. Lewis showed us enough in person to warrant a Top 15 WR ranking at this time but will need to back it up this season on the field and prove our hunch we have about him. </p>   <p class="text-gray-700">Jefferson will have some options this season in the passing game and we want to see which one emerges as the top dog.</p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/Ricardo7Lewis/status/1786901342704808355 </div></figure>     <p class="text-gray-700">Another PRZ WV Combine participant who earned Top Performer honors and now making his debut in the 2026 rankings is University WR/DB [player_tooltip player_id='1137708' first='Glenn' last='Brown']. Brown will enter as a DB prospect where he was a Top Performer with the potential to move to WR or ATH in the future. He should have a much bigger role for the Hawks as a junior and is even in the mix for quarterback reps as a new era of University football gets underway. Brown flashed early in the season in 2023 as a sophomore and we're eager to see him take a step forward as a junior with expanded opportunities. </p>   <p>We'll get a better idea of his game after this season, but from what Brown has shown this off-season, he'll be a prospect to know sooner rather than later. </p>      <p class="text-gray-700">Another prospect without game film at this point who will likely finish higher in the rankings by the time he's a senior is 2026 Winfield DB [player_tooltip player_id='1307512' first='Chris' last='Radcliffe']. Radcliffe picked up his first offer from WV State back in June and has impressed at camps this off-season. From watching some clips on social media in a camp setting, Radcliffe is a quick and twitchy athlete with great feet and leaping ability with a basketball background as well. He moves fluidly in the video available to us and appears to be a natural athlete who we're excited to get some game film of this season.</p>   <p>If Radcliffe goes out and produces on the field and gets some film posted this season, he'll have to opportunity to make a big jump in the rankings in the winter update. </p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/radc2963/status/1802064402583277788 </div></figure>     <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='864575' first='Brayden' last='Edwards'] will be an interesting prospect to watch this season with what should be an expanded role on offense and defense. Edwards has mainly long snapping highlights available right now but at his size and age, we see him growing into an OL or DL prospect by the time he's a senior. Edwards picked up his first offer from WV State last month and has shown early potential as a lineman prospect. At 6'3 240, Edwards likely isn't done growing and has quality athleticism to pair with his size. He flashed some good things in spot duty last season that lead you to believe he'll take a step forward as a lineman this season and secure a starting spot on one or both sides of the line. </p>   <p>Once we see more lineman film of him, Edwards has the potential to climb higher or move to OL in the rankings after debuting as a Top 10 DL. </p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/Braydenedwa59/status/1803837088778829827 </div></figure>
