A new face that you could see a lot more of this season for the Knights’ varsity team is 2026 LB Justin Sterling Justin Sterling 6'1" | 205 lbs | LB WV . We recently placed Sterling just outside of the 2026 Top 50 in our summer rankings update on potential alone as we wait for him to produce more at the varsity level. Sterling will have the opportunity to do so as a junior as the Knights graduated some very talented linebackers from their 2023 team. He clearly has the talent to do just that after earning an offer from WV State this summer before even seeing significant varsity playing time.

Don’t be surprised to see him emerge as a junior and a potential stock riser in the rankings and as a prospect with more reps available this season.

We’re expecting 2026 Cabell Midland LB Justin Sterling Justin Sterling 6'1" | 205 lbs | LB WV to have a bigger role and breakout year this season as the Knights will need some new faces to step up in 2024. Sterling picked up his first offer from WV State last month and has some momentum heading into his junior year. With limited game film, this is mostly a projection ranking with Sterling needing to back it up on the field this season which we believe he’ll do.

From seeing his limited film and clips on X, Sterling has the size and athleticism to develop into the player that we think he’ll be, and are excited to watch him apply it to the field more this season.
