2026 Need to Know Prospects Outside the Top 100

<p>Focusing on another group of 2026 prospects outside the top 100 who are set to impress this season. They may be outside the top 100 in the rankings currently, but these are all players that are big time players and important pieces for their teams. I have gotten eyes on all but one of these prospects over the last season and they are all players on my radar to get out to colleges early this fall. </p>    <p class="text-gray-700">Zack is primed to stand out this season as part of Spalding's dominate defensive group. An interior DT who can also play as a 5 Tech as Spalding generally plays in a 3man front on defense. He is strong and physical, able to collapse the pocket back and man handle offensive lineman. This comes from his ability to get great leverage off the snap. He has a strong wide base, with pop & power through the hips. This allows him to get under the lineman's hands and into his chest driving him back and then shedding them off him to make the tackle on the ball carrier. Zack has also shown the ability to take on double teams, stack & shed, and effectively stunt from outside-in. Playing with a high motor and high effort, Zack doesn't give up on the play and moves well. He has good explosiveness to the ball, chasing down ball carriers and pursuing the QB consistently. A player who demonstrates high football IQ as well, Zack is excellent at anticipating the QBs throws and getting his hands up to knockdown passes routinely. That shows his ability to impact the play even if he can't get off his block. </p>   <p>I am high on Zack's potential and see a productive year for him this fall. Come next spring I see a lot of FBS/FCS/D2 schools taking a strong look at him as a prospect.</p>    <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/philpott2026/status/1732187504512835906 </div></figure>    <p class="text-gray-700">Edge is one of many Von Brandt's to be a part of the Appoquinimink football family. While he may not end up the highest recruited Von Brant prospect he just may be the toughest, hardest working one of the bunch. He is an athletic do it all LB who runs a 4.6 40 and 10'3" SBJ. Last season Edge lead the Delaware in tackles recording 156 total tackles with 10 TFLs and he has given himself the goal of reaching 200 tackles this fall. A good frame kid, currently at 185lbs. he will be a yoked up 200+ easily by the end of his senior year.</p>   <p>Edge is a player who brings it every play, high motor who flies to the ball and can get sideline to sideline. He is quick to read & react and gets on the ball carrier quickly. Capable of blitzing from any spot, shooting the gap, and is strong tackler. He shows fluid hips, able to re-direct and take good angles to the ball.</p>   <p>After playing mainly MLB last season, Edge looks to be making the switch to a more OLB/SS hybrid role which should fit his fast play style, using his athleticism and ability to play well in space to create havoc all over the field. I expect another huge year from Edge this fall, and with his 3.6 GPA I would be shocked if he does not hold multiple offers come next spring. </p>    <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/EdgevonBrandt/status/1757770752172908947 </div></figure>    <p class="text-gray-700">Carlos is a player I was able to recently get eyes on this summer at MSJ after transferring there this summer after playing last season at Lake Clifton HS. A real nice size prospect at 6'4" with a slim 250lb frame that will add real good muscle as he continues to hit the weight room. Can see him ending up a strong/muscular 280lb type player. Currently I have him as a DT, but he can play both OL and DL and will be doing so for MSJ this fall.</p>   <p>At DT Carlos shows real active hands, can swipe away blockers hands, swim and rip and shows a high motor with that hand usage. He can get skinny and shot the gap, sliding into the backfield to get TFLs. A good overall athlete, he runs on his toes, gets good bend/leverage and using his length well. </p>   <p>Carlos could have a monster junior year and turn himself into a legit big time prospect as he continues to develop. Look for him to be a big rankings riser if he reaches his potential. This is a prospect colleges will want to get on their radar early and monitor during the fall, can't wait to see more of him live during the season myself.</p>    <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/CarlosShird </div></figure>    <p class="text-gray-700">I was able to see Kayon live last fall in WM's game against Clarksburg HS. He is another athletic DL as he is also a key contributor on offense at RB. With being an effective runner, that translates over to the defensive side as Kayon has quick feet and wiggle. He is explosive on the snap and accelerates to the ball quickly. All of these traits allow him to beat blockers with speed, quickness, and using that elusiveness to slide past the OL. Kayon is effective as a rusher both off the edge or up the middle. With a powerful build and thick lower half is able to shed of blockers and proves to be a strong tackler. He is an all around versatile defensive lineman that could lead to many schools be interested as he can fit into various schemes. He is an impact player in all 3 phases of the game, playing RB/WR/CB/KR/PR. Doing all that he tallied over 1,000 all purpose yards and 7 total TDs last season and made all IAC Specialist. A dynamic player with the ball in his hands, he can take it to the house at any moment. Ubie has nice wiggle and shiftiness in the hips, can stick his foot in the ground to make a strong cut and make defenders miss in tight spaces. Quick to accelerate and get into space, he also flashes nice top end speed. This is what makes him such a threat in the return game as well as in the slot as WR with jet sweeps and quick hits. </p>   <p>Ubie is an explosive athlete who can hurt the opposing teams in multiple ways.
