The days begin to blur after weeks of daily tape review, so it is always enjoyable to stumble on players flying under the radar or not getting recognized at all that catch a weary eye. Even with ample on-line avenues and more and more people reporting on high school football, there continue to be kids getting lost in the shuffle.

Luckily, PRZ steps in to help fill the void when it comes to shining the spotlight on kids still in the gridiron shadows or playing in the distant corners of the state.

In this report we will be focusing on some "large-and-in-charge" guys in the trenches as well as a couple of skill-position kids who are all ready to grab the spotlight from teammates and competitors. These players may be inconspicuous for now but they have game and have been training at full throttle in the off-season. They are laser-focused on dominating this fall.

So, without further adieu, I bring you “The Weekend Warriors” – five ballers from the 2025 class who are poised and ready to dominate this fall:

[player_tooltip player_id='1228499' first='Corbin' last='Puga'] , OL, 6'3”, 300, Norton, ‘25. He is coming off an excellent season a year ago establishing himself as a dominating presence in the trenches. A massive mauler of an interior lineman, he can play either guard position on offense or plug the middle on defense. On offense he is a piledriving blocker who has a powerful base, quick feet and maintains good pad level. He is particularly effective caving in down blocks in the running game but is also a battering ram of a blocker when he pulls and traps. On the other side of the ball he all but shuts down the run game between the tackles. He moves well for his size, with a great first step and agility that he uses to plow through traffic and penetrate into the backfield. He has been busy in the off-season establishing himself as a state champion wrestler as well as dominating one-on-ones in camps this summer. Get out and see a kid ready to rumble this fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='1274074' first='Seth' last='Driggers'], 6'2, 185, ATH, Hillsboro, '25. A gifted athlete who has been flying under the radar somewhat, he is getting ready to build on an already successful start to his high school career. An athletic receiver with good size and length, he piled up 600+ all-purpose yards a year ago and had five receiving touchdowns. On defense he was in on 32 tackles, picked off six passes and took two back for scores. On offense he can play split wide or in the slot, runs precise routes and is fearless going over the middle to make the tough, contested catch. With secure hands and an above-average catch radius he is dangerous on the short-to-medium routes but has the speed and acceleration to burn teams deep. On defense he has great read and react instincts and flies to the football as a safety in zone or man coverage. Get out and see a star in the making this fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='1296536' first='Landin' last='Johnson'], 5'10, 185, RB, Ellsworth, '25. An elusive running back and return man who got off to a good start last fall, he has been busy in the off-season fine-tuning his game and getting ready for his last hurrah. He is a workhorse back with a low center of gravity, strong legs and delivers a blow fighting for the extra yard. He lines up as a tailback or in a single-back set where he uses his blockers effectively picking his way through traffic. He has good field vision, shooting gaps quickly and breaking to daylight. He is a slashing, physical runner who shreds arm tackles but is also elusive in the open field with good wheels and acceleration. He is also a dangerous punt and kickoff return man who will use the entire field as an elusive threat to take it to the house on every return. He is getting ready to put on a show this fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='1351405' first='Kaeden' last='Savaiano'], 5'11, 240, OL, Derby, '25. He is coming off a solid start to his high school career a year ago working hard in the Derby program to hone his skills and prepare for his final chance to shine. As a versatile interior lineman on the offensive side of the ball, he can play either guard position or center. He has a strong base, with quick, agile feet that he uses effectively getting positioning and leverage, particularly in pass pro. He is a scrappy, bulldog of a player in the trenches who is aggressive from snap to whistle. He has been hard at it in the off-season working through the camp-clinic circuit and is getting prepared to help Derby challenge for the state championship after coming so close last year. Get out and see a kid getting ready to shine in 2024.

[player_tooltip player_id='1351399' first='Kooper' last='Scripsick'], 6'3, 295, OL, Southwestern Heights, '25. Another man-mountain in the trenches in western Kansas who is getting ready to put on a show this fall. He is coming off a solid start to his high school career a year ago as a versatile interior lineman who can play either guard or handle center responsibilities as needed. He is a powerful force in the trenches with an anchor of a base and surprisingly quick feet for his size. He has strong, heavy hands that he uses to strong-arm defenders and keep them off his pads. He pulls and traps well, chips off to take out linebackers and when he locks in on his target he usually hammers them into the turf. He is a brawler of a blocker and is getting ready to show the Sunflower state what he has to offer this fall. Get him on your watchlist.

In conclusion, get these guys on your watchlist and if they play in your vicinity get out and see them in action. You will not be disappointed.
