EAU CLAIRE, WI-- On Tuesday we made the 2-hour drive over to Eau Claire to the first ever UWEC OL/DL MEGA Camp as the Blugolds opened up their brand new indoor facility that is one of the largest in the NCAA at levels. The turf was the freshest turf I have ever stepped foot on I have to mention, and hearing those pads pop with the nearly 150 players in attendance was just an added bonus. I felt the UWEC staff worked their tail off with every kid in attendance that got getting excellent coaching and giving high attention to detail, which defines what it takes to play in the trenches. In Part I in no particular order, I dish out my selections of standouts from UWEC as content will keep rolling out this week from what I saw in Blugold Country! Let's get to it.

Charlie not only was a OLprospect that passed the eye test with his 6'5 245 pound frame, but he had the skillsets that backed it up. For his size, I came away quite impressed with his footwork as there was plenty of sound balance with every rep I got to watch out of him. His hands were consistently efficient at the point of attack with his pad-level and no doubt was a fearless finisher. Charlie has extremely long arms that he used at his disposal. Not to mention, his athletic movement gpt downhill quickly as there are not too many prospects with his size that run in the mid 4.7s like Charlie did in the shuttle. With three offers since Tuesdays camp, I would not be surprised for more scholarship-level programs to get involved for this OL target from Wausau East. He gets a Division I FCS grade from me. Twitter

Tyler not only had some of the best hair amongst the offensive line group, he was another OL prospect that was quite mobile for the measurables you see. At 6'2 322 pounds, had a front row seat for his shuttle, in which he recorded a 4.85 which is excellent for his size. I was also drawn to his fluidity later in Indy Drills when he came out of his stance. I also loved the motor I saw this kid play with on every rep and per our Midwest Scouting Director, he was dominant in every drill you threw at him as another scholarship level talent out of the small town of Cameron, WI. Tyler is a great example of a prospect that even without a junior tape, camp season is where you can do your damage correctly in recruiting with a live eval from college coaches. Twitter

Teigan was another prospect out of Wausau that drew my attention at the UWEC Big Man MEGA Camp. Teigan caught my attention during Indy Drills with how wirey he showed off to be with his release point and that was shown consistently when we got into 1v1s later in the session. Teigan also showed off great rhythm and speed with his hands in 1v1s as all parts of what I watched out of him was significantly fluid throughout. He also attacked his reps with great instinct and shows off the position flexibility at the next-level at linebacker as well in my eyes with quickly alert vision he put out on his junior tape. Teigan is one that I would expect his recruiting attention to heat up soon. Twitter

Dylan showed off an under the radar Minnesota prospect with his 6'2 223 pound size, showed off some intriguing upside. What popped out right away was his change of direction which even though I caught it later during camp, the 4.71 shuttle he showed off certainly tested the rangy length I could visualize. He showed off too some significantly long strides and when I peeked at his tape, he looks like a man amongst boys with how much length he has with mostly linebacker tape. He certainly has the body type a college program could add a bunch of weight in their strength program and certainly has a high ceiling incoming that if you are recruiting Southern Minnesota, you should take a look at this small school gem.

Vaughn was a prospect I caught later at the UWEC OL/DL MEGA Camp that didn't have testing numbers, but certainly showed off what he brings to the table in 1v1s. He showed off an impressive pad-level in every rep I watched out of him and the drive he showed off in his lower body with his feet showed off good upside for a college program to develop further. There was also plenty of force in his punches that I witnessed that showed off a OL prospect that on tape, shows off plenty of great leverage with his angle blocks at right guard. I would certainly keep this kid on my next-level radar if was recruiting NW Wisconsin. Twitter

I will second my colleague [player_tooltip player_id='1292679' first='Oliver' last='West'] that Deondre was also one of my MVPs from the UWEC OL/DL MEGA Camp, as yet another prospect from Wausau that impressed me on Tuesday. Deondre had one of the best pad-levels I saw overall as despite not being the biggest DL prospect as far as measurables go, he won a ton of reps alone with just how well balanced he was winning the position battle. Deondre also showed off a well-versed football IQ and is certainly a DL prospect you go outside the measurables for.
