I got my camp season coverage started with a trip to UW-Eau Claire for their inaugural Big Man camp in their brand new indoor facility. You couldn't have asked for a better environment to start the summer coverage either. The facility lived up to the hype. There was a ton of talent consisting of over 125 athletes. The best part of all is it was a padded camp so we got to watch legitimate reps and battles between the OL and DL. To organize my coverage of the event, we are going to split things into an OL article and a DL article. We start on the offensive side of the ball, and narrow our focus to the incoming seniors!

Not only did this camp give us the chance to get eyes on athletes we have become very familiar with, it also brought us some impressive new athletes to keep our eyes on. The first one of those new names on our radar is the OL out of Wausau East. Charlie passed the eye test right off the bat with his nearly 6'5" frame with an equal 6'5" wingspan. That long frame easily carried his 245 lbs, showing room for plenty more added pounds and strength. The big man impressed with his lower body mobility and agility. Highlighted by a strong 4.75 pro agility, and plenty of live action reps that showed how well he could cover short areas while remaining square and balanced. Cayley also impressed me with the power he could create in the run game. I want to see that show up more in his anchor strength during pass protection this fall, but the 2025 is well on his way to being a force in the run game. Charlie is just scratching the surface on what he could be at the next level.

One of those athletes that I had highlighted as a kid I wanted to watch as many reps as I could was Cameron's All Region OC/DL [player_tooltip player_id='1380126' first='Tyler' last='Phillips']. Tyler's home at the next level is on the interior of the OL, and at the Mega Camp he quickly established a physical presence. The 6'2" 322 lbs 2025 has the ability to generate so much force. His leg drive shined in run game reps. Tyler showed off arguably the heaviest hands of any OL in attendance, delivering punches that stood up DL and controlling where they rushed when he locked onto them. That size and strength caught the eyes of the next level too, leaving with his 3rd D2 offer of the offseason. Tyler is one of the best OL coming out of northern WI.

A 2025 that came away with his first roster offer of the recruiting cycle is Brookfield Central's OL Connor Corte- Stolen. Connor is another kid who passes the eye test with an A+++. He checked in at 6'5" 301 lbs with an elite 6'9.5" wingspan. Measurables of an athlete that can find a home out at offensive tackle at the next level. That shear size proved to be too much in the one on one battles. Connor consistently made powerful first contact and was able to effectively steer his opponents away from the QB over and over. The massive OT was able to cover ground with his long kick slides and used that length to help counteract any counter moves that almost got the angle on him. Connor brings a lot of those uncoachable traits to the field that coaches look for.

Vaughn is a 2025 OL prospect who has done a great job of building his frame. You see we have him at 230 lbs, but the OL is now up to a well put together 257 lbs. The interior offensive lineman grabbed our attention with win after win in the one on ones. Vaughn flashed quick, agile feet that kept him square in front of his opponent. The incoming senior also played with the physicality you love to see along the interior. He brought the fight to his opponent in run game drills with a powerful burst out of his stance and he proved to have a reliable anchor in pass protection and would then look to finish with tenacity out of stuffing the initial rush with that anchor. Don't sleep on this kid. He holds an offer from River Falls, so far.

Patrick was on our radars, but as you can see it wasn't initially as an OL prospect. However, after talking with him after the camp it is clear he is a do-it-all athlete. Long snapping, OL, DL, lacrosse captain in the offseason. The 6'2.5" 242 lbs '25 earned himself an offer from UW- Eau Claire with his performance. I had to go back to the film to check out more of his OL play and a lot of what we saw at camp shows up on tape. Patrick takes the fight to his opponent. He shines in the run game where he can show his powerful burst out of his stance and ability to drive his man off the line and finish with violence. Patrick brings a lot of useful versatility to the field.

I was able to get eyes on Rey at a couple camps this week, but the most value came from the Big Man Camp in Eau Claire. Getting to see these kids in pads, doing what they have trained for years to do is invaluable. Rey didn't waste his opportunity either. The OT checked in with great size at 6'4" 304 lbs with almost a 6'7" wingspan. Rey came into the camp with a ton of run game experience at the varsity level. Because of that we have seen him develop the ability to drop his pad level so he can get leverage on DL. We see his short area mobility and lateral agility to stick on blocks. Plus we see that desire to dominate his opponent. During the camp the run game drills looked natural for him. The big man just earned his first offer from Oshkosh. Plenty more should follow.

I just had Mason hit my radar a couple weeks ago while doing a Recruiting Hotbed piece on the Menasha 2025s. So I was excited to see he had signed up for the camp. It was well worth it as the 2025 earned his first offer from the Blugolds. It was easy to see how he earned the offer. Mason's best football is ahead of him, but what he brings now are the athletic traits to mold at the college level. He had a strong flying 10 with a time of 1.26 and a pro agility time of 4.96. The '25 also brings length needed to win in the trenches with a nearly 6'4" wingspan. During the live battles Mason let that agility and smooth athleticism take over and win him a lot of reps. He was able to easily get depth in his pass protection and run edge rushers around and past the QB. Werfal did great getting hands on and making the initial contact then using that footwork to keep himself in position to win the rep. The arrow is pointing up for Mason.

Mason put together a great Big Man camp at UW- Eau Claire leading to an offer from the Blugolds. The 6' 267 lbs OL proved to have the range, quickness, and burst needed to get angles and win laterally in the trenches. He posted an impressive 1.24 flying 10, and a 4.75 pro agility time. Mason caught my eyes with his performance in both the run game battles and pass pro battles. He demonstrated consistent use of leverage in the run game and a strong lower body that allowed him to remove DL from the line of scrimmage. The '25 also used that leverage in pass protection, supplementing it with a strong anchor that stuffed bull rush attempts on multiple occasions. Mason looks the part of a stout interior OL that teams are going to want to watch closely this fall.
