He's a long, lean two-sport athlete (football, track) that's shown promising physical and skillset development at recent offseason camps. He's a fluid mover with the footwork, quickness, and agility to continue developing into a great route-runner. He has low-4.4 speed, long reach/catch radius, and can track the ball downfield. He's a pass-catching TE that can be deployed out wide and use his height and extended radius over smaller DBs. He's flashed physicality as a blocker and shows great body control adjusting to the ball, but needs to continue to develop his route-running and hands as a pass catcher. He uses his length effectively to disrupt the QB from his DE spot and covers ground as a contain defender. He's a solid pass-catcher that can create athletic mismatches against coverage LBs as a wing/h-back and turns into a physical playmaker with the ball in his hands. His strong, lengthy frame (6'3”/205) gives him the ability to seal DEs on the edge and combined with his speed makes him a difficult tackle in space. Also plays LB on defense. He's a lean, high-upside athlete (6'2”/200) around the edge that showed the explosive lateral burst and acceleration to get outside the blocker's frame and create mismatches against slower-moving OTs during recent spring practices. He has quick, strong hands that he can use to rip and pull at the POA and shows some bend around the outside. He showed flashes of improvement in his skillset as an outside CB looking faster in/out of his backpedal and more comfortable in isolated soft coverage in Basic's May spring game. He was effective as nickel last season, showing the reactions and twitchy change-of-direction to keep up with quick-footed, agile slot receivers. He can mirror, disrupt with his hands, and break in synch in press coverage.
