Braylen Ross
Braylen Ross
Ross picked up his first set of D-I offers from San Diego St., Arizona St., and Colorado St. in June. He’s a big, athletic receiver at 6’3”/190 with rare speed, body control, and coordination for his size and age. He’s been a standout at recent offseason camps showing technical skill as a route-runner, strong hands, and lengthy radius at the catch point. Ross is poised for a breakout sophomore season for Helix in the fall.
Julian Cromartie
Julian Cromartie
Cromartie transferred over to Mater Dei Catholic from St. Augustine ahead of his sophomore season. The 6’3”/185 WR/DB picked up his first pair of D-I offers from UNLV and San Diego St. over the past two months after showing raw talent and potential on the offseason circuit. He’s a lengthy target on the outside that can extend over the top of DBs in high-point situations and can challenge the secondary vertically with long strides and smooth, downhill speed. Look for Cromartie to be a breakout playmaker for the Crusaders this season.
Dominic Lopez
Dominic Lopez
Lopez returns to lead the Mt. Miguel LB corps after posting a productive freshman season with 64 tackles, 7 TFLs, 3 sacks, and 2 INTs. He’s a young, athletic front-seven defender that can get downhill and play physical in the run game or drop in to coverage where he flashes his ability to play in space. He was primarily used as an off-ball defender as a freshman but showed some ability to rush and contain on the edge as well. Has long arms and a strong, functional frame at 5’10”/200. Lopez should be a standout performer as the top returning tackler for Mt. Miguel in 2024.
Hunter transferred into Mt. Miguel from St. Augustine ahead of his sophomore season. The 5’10”/175 ATH could be an impact player on either side of the ball this season from his RB/S spots. He’s an active defender in coverage that chews up ground with his rangy speed and shows natural elusiveness with the ball in his hands. Hunter’s one of several talented 2027 standouts to keep an eye on for the Matadors in the fall.
