Expert Analysis
Paul Gregorian | Prep Redzone Scout
Hunter is a well rounded ball carrier that runs hard at all three levels, can make tacklers miss with quick cuts and short area agility and also shows cutback abilities and patience to stay behind his blocks before exploding into the second level. On tape he displays the ability to catch the ball out of the backfield or play in the slot and is dynamic after the catch in the open field and a truly big play guy. He has a good build for the position in college and will continue to pack on mass/muscle this off-season and should be inline for a huge senior season. Look for Hunter to be one of the top returning players across the San Diego section and field plenty more college interest/offers this off-season.

Hunter added his fourth D-I offer from Minnesota this month. The talented RB out of Mt. Miguel has quietly been putting his name on the San Diego radar after leading the team in rushing with 500 yards and 8 TDs on 78 carries as a sophomore. Hunter has picked up other offers from Arizona, UNLV, and UAB this offseason.

Hunter picked up his first pair of offers from Arizona and UNLV to start the new year. PRZ CA’s #8 RB in the 2027 class broke out as the leading rusher for Mt. Miguel with 500 yards and 8 TDs on 78 carries as a sophomore. He’s a talented playmaker that shows his explosive burst and speed attacking the lane and can make defenders miss in the open field. Expect the D-I offers to continue to come in for the up-and-coming sophomore.

Hunter transferred into Mt. Miguel from St. Augustine ahead of his sophomore season. The 5’10”/175 ATH could be an impact player on either side of the ball this season from his RB/S spots. He’s an active defender in coverage that chews up ground with his rangy speed and shows natural elusiveness with the ball in his hands. Hunter’s one of several talented 2027 standouts to keep an eye on for the Matadors in the fall.
