Pennsylvania 8th Grade (2028) Running Backs To Know Now

The 2028 class is shaping up to be a talented group of running backs. This is my 2nd article on running backs in the 2028 class. What impresses me is their ability to play as a wide receiver as well. They have legitimate receiver skills and are equally as talented at catching the ball as they are at running the ball. Below are some of the talented 2028 running backs.    Damien Greer is an elite athlete who can score anytime he touches the ball. He scored on punt returns, handoffs from his running back position, and as a slot receiver catching a pass. He has elite speed and burst, making tackling him difficult. Greer also catches the ball well and runs excellent routes. He also played defensive back where he showed good coverage skills. Greer is the real deal as an athlete who can play anywhere on the football field and score from many positions.     [player_tooltip player_id='1265743' first='Jake' last='Ligo'] is a legit running back. He shows a good burst and acceleration through the hole. Then when he gets into the open field he has elite speed to run by defenders. Ligo also shows a physical running style that is hard to bring down. He shows that he has strong skills at running back. Ligo is a talented 2028 running back.     [player_tooltip player_id='1040182' first='Jarelle' last='Mason'] is someone I had the pleasure of seeing play at the Prep Redzone 7 on 7 tournament. He was a standout on the AIT Team. He played well both as a wide receiver and as a defensive back. He projects as a running back who could also play as a slot receiver. He shows a good ability to catch the ball and make people miss in space. Mason has the tools to be a good athlete and could play all over the field.     [player_tooltip player_id='959474' first='Julius' last='Riddick'] is a physical and tough running back. He does a good job of reading his blocks and then hitting the hole. He rarely goes down after one tackler tries to tackle him. He also has a good burst and quickness. Then when he gets into the open field he shows good speed. Riddick shows a good ability to play running back at a high level.     [player_tooltip player_id='959776' first='Kassan' last='Chappelle'] has elite speed and athleticism as a running back. Anytime he touches the ball he can score. He has good burst and acceleration in the hole. Chappelle has some of the most unbelievable moves you ever seen. The way he sets up and makes defenders miss in space is special. He also shows good hands when he catches the ball well outside of the backfield. Chappelle has all the tools to play at a high-level next season.
