An even lower percentage stuck with me enough to include them in this article. This article includes five of my biggest Camp Winners from the class of 2025!
I’m very glad I got to see Chase Dawkins Chase Dawkins 5'10" | 195 lbs | RB Detroit Country Day | 2025 MI at the Western Michigan camp. On film, he’s a dual-threat quarterback, but I don’t think he’ll be playing quarterback in college. Instead, he shows a ton of upside as a running back. At Western (and many other camps I didn’t attend) Chase showcased his athleticism, way above-average testing times, and overall abilities outside of QB. Because Chase went through a gauntlet of camps, he’s earned an offer from Wayne State.

I saw Jaheem at more camps than anyone else on this list. Him and the Rouge DBs were everywhere. Plus, I’m frankly surprised that I haven’t seen many if any offers given to Jaheem or other Rouge DBs.
Jaheem flat-out knows how to play DB. He especially shines in press-man coverage, which many DBs struggle mightily with. In close-quarters, Jaheem has well above-average change of direction and has the ball skills to breakup most passes in reach. I also think he’s a half-step faster than the other Rouge DBs I’ve watched, but don’t get me wrong, the other Rouge DBs are also great. If Jaheem is able to perform well on the field and in the classroom, there’s no reason why a GLAIC team wouldn’t send out an offer.

There’s zero doubt that
Zachary Kitchen

is my #1 offensive line standout of camp season. A lot of colleges completely write off offensive linemen under a certain height. For most, 6’0″ is way too small to play O-Line. Although I agree that his height significantly limits his upside, there’s no reason why Zachary can’t be a phenomenal D3 or solid D2 lineman.
Every rep of Zach’s is the same. The same kickstep, the same quick hands, and the same powerful punch. If the opposing lineman shoots inside, Zachary is able to drive the lineman further inside while staying anchored and balanced. If someone tries to sneak outside with a quick club, Zachary recovers well and rarely loses.
In another world where Zachary is 6’5″, he may be a D1 prospect. Moving forward, he needs to perform well this coming season and in the classroom. If he does that, I have no doubt that the offers will come.

What a month it’s been for Talon. During mid-may, Talon made the trip from Marquette down to the MHSAA HAWK Camp. There, I saw Grand Valley State head coach Scott Wooster take notice in Talon. He wasn’t perfect, but I watched Talon take coaching well and immediately correct some mistakes. A month later, Talon came to Grand Valley’s first prospect camp and he earned an offer.
Talon isn’t the most polished lineman yet. In fact, he needs to work a lot on his initial punch, and he can struggle keeping balanced and maintaining good fundamentals late in his pass set. Though, his measurables are good, he has good anchor, and wins way more than he loses. Talon is a very high-upside lineman who I fully expect to end up in the GLIAC.

Will is a very unique prospect, and I’m extremely happy I had the chance to briefly watch him at the GVSU camp. Listen- I don’t like his film. I think that Will ran extremely sloppy routes last season, and he’s very behind when it comes to overall receiver fundamentals. Seeing him at the GVSU camp, I finally understand why he’s getting so much GLIAC attention. His frame, testing numbers, and overall measurables are near-elite. Will has long legs that allow him to explode forward and long arms that give him a high ceiling when it comes to catch radius. I still think that Will is severely lacking in route running, but his upside is unquestioned, and he made some great choices in attending GLIAC camps.
