There's a lot of opportunities to see the offensive skill positions each offseason that range from camps to 7v7's. So, it was nice to take a day to watch the big men that control the trenches. It was a sunny and beautiful afternoon at Nippert Stadium on the Campus of the University of Cincinnati. The Bearcats had a really nice turnout for the camp, and I was able to get eyes on a lot of players who I've been wanting to see in person. Here is the first of two articles on players who impressed me at the UC Big Man Camp.

2025 OL [player_tooltip player_id='824056' first='Baylor' last='Wilkin'] (Findlay) 6'4 270- I thought Wilkin had the best day of any player at the camp. At 6'4 270 he has an athletic and thick build with little excess weight. In the drills he showed good bend and explosiveness. In 1v1's I don't think Baylor lost a rep on the day. I think he played almost every position along the offensive line other than Center. I like his ceiling most at the guard position at the next level, but I definitely think he has the ability to play right tackle. He moved his feet well and when he got his hands on the rusher it was over. Wilkin was a late bloomer who's built his body the right way. With a list full of G5 offers, if he continues to perform the way he did today, I'd be surprised if Wilkin didn't pull P4 offers this summer.

2025 OL [player_tooltip player_id='1179336' first='Eli' last='Sanchez'] (Perkins) 6'4 290- Sanchez is a physically imposing offensive guard. From watching his film, I know that Sanchez is a physically dominant run blocker, but at the camp I was able to get to see him up close in pass protection. He did a good job of anchoring and gave up little ground as defenders would try to long arm and go through him. While his ability to be a dominant run blocker will always be his calling card, he's more than serviceable in pass protection. Eli has offers from Western Michigan, Akron, Kent State, and Bowling Green. I could see him getting P4 looks this summer and fall as well.

2025 DL [player_tooltip player_id='1171404' first='Christian' last='Harris'] (Moeller) 6'1 270- I had the opportunity to see Harris in the playoffs last year versus Lakota West. He was constantly in the Firebird backfield wreaking havoc. He had a good day at camp as well, winning his share of 1v1's. Harris combines a quick first step with violent hands. I like Harris as a 3 tech at the college level. Harris should get some recruiting traction this summer. He'll get to follow that up with an opportunity to show out against a strong schedule of opponents.

2026 OL [player_tooltip player_id='402322' first='Colton' last='Crosley'] (Walsh Jesuit) 6'3 275- Crosley is another versatile offensive lineman who had an impressive day. Colton lined up at both guard positions as well as Center. He has quick and sound feet that he uses to mirror defenders. He bends and anchors well playing with good balance. I would describe his game as athletic and technically sound. I think Crosley won all but 1 of his 1v1 reps. Crosley currently holds an offer from Kent State. I look for him to continue to add offers this summer and fall football season.

2026 DL [player_tooltip player_id='1179274' first='Malachi' last='Ervin'] (Pickerington North) 6'4 215- Ervin is an impressive looking athlete who boast great length. In the DL drills Ervin showed a really strong ability to bend, and bend without losing quickness or balance in the hoop drills. Malachi wone his share of 1v1's. He likes the edge and with his burst and bend he can get it a lot of the time. As he continues to develop in his technique and add counters to his speed rush it's going to be nearly impossible to keep him out of opposing backfields. Ervin has a handful of MAC offers. With some strong Junior film under his belt, I'd expect him to start to get P4 interest this fall.

2026 DL [player_tooltip player_id='1299899' first='Brendan' last='Shultz'] (Saint Ed's) 6'3 230- This was my first time seeing Stultz. He's a fluid athlete who bends and corners well. He has a nice burst off the edge and an inside dip move to counter it. Athletically he has the moves. If he can add more violent hands to his technique, I think it could take his pass rush game to a whole new level.
