He's a scrappy blocker in the run game that plays more physical than his lean frame would suggest and provides athleticism as a puller. He moves well and excels at picking up blocks in space but could benefit from being more under control when closing on defenders. I'm interested to see if he's deployed more in the passing game as a senior and the overall growth of his TE skillset. He offers TE upside in his receiving skillset with strong ball skills and the ability to use his body effectively to out-physical defenders at the catch point. He tracks the ball well, has strong hands, and can adjust his body to the ball. He's a physical run-stuffer that likes to get downhill between the OTs and make plays at or behind the LOS. He does a good job of reading keys, scraping over the top, and sifting through traffic to track down ball-carriers. He has a stocky 6'/205 build, hits with power, and is an adequate lateral mover. He's a ballhawk between the hash marks that can put himself in proper position and capitalize on mistakes over the middle of the field. He totaled 53 tackles and 4 INTs as a junior.
