Freshmen in Georgia are just different. Every year, several youngsters across the state will make their mark on Friday nights and pick up some college buzz as a result. Starting with the QBs, I wanted to introduce what should be another star-studded 2028 class in Georgia.

[player_tooltip player_id='425355' first='Prince' last='Aminu'] already holds FBS offers and looks like he could be the top 2028 QB in Georgia. He is already at 6'0 160 and has yet to walk through a high school hallway. He is an impressive athlete, weaving in and out of running lanes and flashing the speed needed to corner defenses and carry away from DBs. He has a long delivery and rips through the ball, which often means he has the natural ability to throw a football. As he adds more strength and develops better mechanics, the ball will go from buzzing out of his hand to launching out of his hand. Aminu is a true dual-threat QB with evident P4 upside.

[player_tooltip player_id='847869' first='Carson' last='Hand'] is one of the more well-developed 2028 arms I've seen. He stands at 6'1 175 and plays with a firm base. He has a baseball background as well, something often desired in QB prospects. He is a bit raw, possessing a hitch at the top of his release. However, he throws a heavy ball that arrives on time with some heat. He should be viewed more as a passer, but does enough with his legs to keep defenses honest. Once he improves his mechanics, Hand's game should only elevate.

[player_tooltip player_id='410856' first='Cannon' last='Robinson'] is another natural-born athlete with plenty to get excited about. He is an athletic 6'0 160, harnessing his athleticism by extending plays and taking yards available when the play breaks down. Robinson just whips through the ball, not showcasing a whole lot mechanically at the moment, which is fine as he still mixes up pace and trajectory on the ball. He is yet another prospect with a natural-born ability to throw the football. Future physical and mechanical development will allow him to hum the ball all over the yard.

[player_tooltip player_id='410849' first='Pierson' last='Degala'] is a stout, well-built youngster already up to 6'1 180. He is a commanding force in the pocket and plays with a good base. He has solid footwork, synching his eyes and feet together. He has a long, clunkier throwing motion, but the ball arrives heavy. He has some development to do athletically, but he looks the part of a confident decision-maker who is sharp from the neck up. He has already generated plenty of buzz during his middle school years.

[player_tooltip player_id='1026234' first='Ben' last='Halevi'] is the most polished 2028 QB I've seen on tape, and he still has plenty of physical upside left in the tank. He is still in the infancy stages of his football growth, but plays with excellent mechanics. He steps into each throw, bringing his hip around for extra pop on the ball. His delivery is quick and smooth. His ability to mix up trajectories is fantastic, making several tightrope throws over the MOF and dropping it on a dime over the top. His improv skills are phenomenal, dodging pressure and athletically extending plays. Halevi should find a way on the field early in his career.

William Whitehurst is one of the more low-key players on this list, but I liked his film so much that I had to mention him. Still a small guy at 5'11 130, but there is certainly a growth spurt lurking. He has good footwork and throwing mechanics, pairing together nicely with his decent arm strength. His toughness and ability to extend plays are what caught my eye. He will hang onto the ball a second longer to absorb contact. When the scramble drill ensues, he is slippery and flashes the playmaking ability to stay on his feet and make something happen with his legs. Once at the HS level, I think he is going to put up some fun tape.

After seeing Lucius Robinson in person, I am more than intrigued by what he has to offer. He is still on the smaller side, measuring in at 5'7 145 at our January camp. However, he is a stout, explosive athlete who could absolutely make something happen in the run game. His arm talent was put on full display at our January camp, fighting frigid cold temperatures and high winds. Even out of the HS group, he was one of the handful of QBs who could consistently get the ball through the wind. He might not end up being a guy who towers over people in the pocket, but he is an explosive player with plenty of juice in his arm.

Boston Pierce is already at 6'0 163, and with his long features, he should end up being a tall, athletic force in the pocket. Pierce slings the ball out of a nearly sidearm slot and buzzes it across the field. He is a good athlete, using his traits to keep plays alive. He has enough power in his arm to get the ball downfield while on the move and when off-platform. From a physical standpoint, Pierce should grow into one of the more impressive QBs in GA for his class.

Lamario Dorsey Jr is one of the more calm and collected QBs I've seen in the 2028 class. He has good arm mechanics and is a good athlete, but his ability to calmly scan the field and attack between and outside the hashes takes his game to another level. He already puts good touch on the ball, but as he fills out his 6'0 180 frame, he will begin to fire the ball with even more velocity. Dorsey will have plenty of talent around him at Buford, which perfectly fits his playstyle. He will benefit greatly in an offense that allows him to play point guard and distribute the ball across the yard.
