The Class of 2025 rankings have received a well-deserved update, and there have been some major shake-ups! Since our last update in early February, we have seen several players who have emerged from camps, 7v7s, and team workouts and blown up the recruiting trail. We spent several days reviewing film, measurables, camp performances, offers, etc., to try and identify prospects who can go on to play at some sort of collegiate level after their prep careers. We bring you our Class of 2025 Rankings update with 380 ranked prospects!

Omaha Westside LB [player_tooltip player_id='305111' first='Christian' last='Jones'] continues his reign as the top player in Nebraska's 2025 class as we head into his senior season. Christian was a key player on offense and defense for the Warriors as they marched their way to a dominant championship season in 2023. Jones is an incredibly smart and instinctive linebacker with a very versatile skillset that can see him drop into coverage, defend the run, and rush the passer. Christian currently holds offers from Nebraska, Oklahoma, Auburn, Notre Dame, Texas A&M, USC, Kansas State, Penn State, Tennessee, Missouri, Wisconsin, Washington, Stanford, Iowa, Minnesota, Michigan State, Boston College, Iowa State, and Kansas.

Millard South 4-star TE [player_tooltip player_id='319200' first='Chase' last='Loftin'] made the jump up one spot from #3 to #2. Loftin is a smooth route-runner with the size and athleticism to be moved around the formation to exploit mismatches. Chase emerged as one of the fastest rising tight-end prospects in the midwest, earning offers from all reaches of the country. Since then, Chase has released a list of the top 10 teams he has been focusing on during the spring/summer cycle, including Florida, Penn State, Kansas State, Miami, Missouri, Nebraska, Florida State, Oklahoma, Auburn, and Texas A&M.

A pair of Nebraska commits land at 3 and 4 with Omaha North 4-star DL [player_tooltip player_id='245879' first='Tyson' last='Terry'] and Millard North 3-star LB/ATH [player_tooltip player_id='301713' first='Pierce' last='Mooberry']. Tyson has been committed to the Huskers since last summer and has been one of the most consistent prospects in his class as a 3-time All-state selection and an undefeated 3-time state champion on the wrestling mats. Pierce is one of the most versatile players I have had the opportunity to watch, as he can play tight end on offense and can play nearly anywhere defensively, ultimately committing to the Blackshirts as a linebacker earlier this month.

Long-time Gretna starter and 3-star OT [player_tooltip player_id='551754' first='Kalvin' last='Janssen'] rounds out the top 5 as the top OL in the state. Kalvin has been an absolute monster at offensive tackle, providing excellent pass protection and physical run blocking for one of the top offenses in Class A the past two seasons. Kalvin holds offers from the Air Force, Army, Coastal Carolina, Navy, Northern Illinois, Northern Iowa, South Dakota, and Wyoming, but don't be surprised if a few more names drop their name in the hat.

Hot on Kalvin's heels for the OL1 spot is Stanton's 3-star OT [player_tooltip player_id='1062523' first='Ren' last='Brown'], who is rising quickly as one of the more sought-after OL prospects coming out of the Midwest. Ren's next-level size and measurables, combined with his freakish athleticism, have left programs like Texas Tech, Oregon State, South Dakota, Kansas State, Northern Illinois, Army, Air Force, South Dakota State, Eastern Michigan, Northern Iowa, North Dakota, Montana, Ohio, and Columbia all vying for his services.

Players ranked 7-9 are an excellent example of how many teams have begun to notice the elite talent here in the great state of Nebraska. In June alone, we saw Platteview's 3-star TE [player_tooltip player_id='736119' first='Reiman' last='Zebert'] commit to Stanford, Kearney's 3-star EDGE [player_tooltip player_id='545268' first='Sawyer' last='Schilke'] commit to Kansas State, and Papillion-La Vista's 3-star OT [player_tooltip player_id='518062' first='Garin' last='Maley'] commit to Texas Tech. Three players from different parts of the state committed to programs in three different states, incredible!

Closing out the top 10 is Millard North's 3-star ATH [player_tooltip player_id='245856' first='Caden' last='VerMaas']. VerMaas is the other player I'd put up there with teammate Pierce as the most versatile I've seen. Offense, defense, special teams it seems like Caden's motor never runs out. The speedy and versatile playmaker was not just the first player from this class to announce their commitment but the first player to commit to the Husker's 2025 cycle.

The rest of the top 20 rounds out with Lincoln Southwest 3-star WR [player_tooltip player_id='319188' first='Jackson' last='Carpenter'] (Nebraska Commit), Millard North 3-star DL [player_tooltip player_id='319001' first='Henry' last='Rehberg'], Omaha Central 3-star DL/ATH [player_tooltip player_id='318989' first='Alijah' last='Wayne'] (South Dakota State commit), Lincoln Southeast DL [player_tooltip player_id='301711' first='Pierre' last='Allen Jr'] (North Dakota Commit), Omaha Westside ATH [player_tooltip player_id='318995' first='Keynan' last='Cotton'], Lincoln Southwest DL [player_tooltip player_id='319189' first='Cole' last='Erickson'], Battle Creek OL [player_tooltip player_id='425536' first='Dawson' last='Amick'] (Air Force commit), Lincoln East DB [player_tooltip player_id='319571' first='Mikhale' last='Ford'] (North Dakota State commit), Bishop Neumann RB [player_tooltip player_id='505891' first='Conor' last='Booth'] (Nebraska commit), and Papillion-La Vista South 3-star TE [player_tooltip player_id='893579' first='Casey' last='Popish'] (Northern Illinois commit).

Overall, we ranked 380 prospects who we believe can play at the collegiate level. We also have an additional 175 players on our watchlist, featuring players we are keeping a close eye on as potential prospects.

This is just a reminder to players who did not make the rankings or did not agree with their rankings: Nothing is set in stone at this point, and you are still very much in control of your opportunities! The rankings will change several times from now until the end of the year, allowing for several opportunities to make your presence known. We will do our best to highlight as many players as possible regardless of rank and to cover them in a positive light to help bring exposure as you head into your senior season. We are always open to healthy discussion over any rankings and if we can help you in any way. DMs are always open.

The best ways to get on our radar and ensure you get added to our list at the next update include putting out a season tape (a few clips work, but they will still only give us a small sample), attending college camps, and big performances in other events like 7v7, passing league, etc.
