Carl Albert Team Camp Report

In this report, we're taking a look some of the players that stood out to us during the limited time that we spent at that camp. Friday morning was a busy one for us as we also had camp visits at Harrah and Choctaw. Check out Prep Redzone Oklahoma for looks at those reports as well. And with us having two stops prior to Carl Albert and the camp ending a little early, we definitely didn't get as much time as we'd like. In this breakdown, we have a good mix of players that we've known about for a while along with some new faces that could and should be impact players for their respective teams this fall.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='629029' first='Antoni' last='Kade Ogumoro'] - 2025 Offensive Lineman - Elgin</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Elgin 2025 offensive lineman and recent Tennessee commit [player_tooltip player_id='629029' first='Antoni' last='Kade Ogumoro'] was one of the players we were excited to see in the first week of team camps. We've watched film and we've seen him blow up as a prospect but this was our first chance to see him in person and he did not disappoint. Ogumoro is a good looking athlete and he can move, despite routinely being arguably the biggest guy on the field. The Elgin offensive line is going to be one of the better units in 4A football this year with Ogumoro and fellow 2025 offensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='497346' first='Jace' last='Williams'] returning. Both were flat out dominant on Friday. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='353419' first='Caden' last='Davis'] - 2025 Running Back/Linebacker - Carl Albert</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Carl Albert 2025 standout [player_tooltip player_id='353419' first='Caden' last='Davis'] is going to go into this fall as one of the more productive players in 5A football. He earned All State 1st team honors as a sophomore and then again last fall. Davis is a star at the linebacker position and he was flying all over the field again at the team camp. What Davis did on defense was no surprise but watching just how effective he was at the running back position was. Don't be surprised if Davis ends up having a solid workload on offense at running back. But make no mistake about it, Davis is a defensive star and is looking to become a three-time All State 1st team selection this fall. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1291287' first='Carlveon' last='Young'] - 2025 Linebacker - Carl Albert</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>There's no doubt that Carl Albert has a very special 2025 class. What's scary is they still have hidden gems, ready to absolutely explode. 2025 standout [player_tooltip player_id='1291287' first='Carlveon' last='Young'] really stood out to us as arguably the best defender during the stretch while we were watching. First off, Young lines up as an outside linebacker or hybrid defender and looks exactly like [player_tooltip player_id='377954' first='Marcus' last='James'] on the other side of the defense. Is Young a player that can rise fast enough to end up at the P4 level? We can't rule it out. Young missed last season but is ready to have a big summer and fall. He's definitely a prospect that impressed and will be one to watch. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='211570' first='Tres' last='Lorah'] - 2025 Quarterback - Elgin</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Out of all the players that we've already seen in person, Elgin 2025 quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='211570' first='Tres' last='Lorah'] is the one that has shown the most improvement since our last time watching him. Lorah was the best quarterback in attendance and his ability to push the ball down field was impressive to watch. Elgin's running game is going to be dominant this season but seeing Lorah's improvement as a pure passer was a pleasant surprise. And while he didn't really showcase the skillset because it's May, Lorah is a terrific athlete that is dangerous on the move. With several seasons under his belt, you can clearly see that Lorah is playing with a high confidence level. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1291288' first='Tyrie' last='Caldwell'] - 2025 Linebacker - Putnam City North</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Putnam City North 2025 linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='1291288' first='Tyrie' last='Caldwell'] is our final standout on this breakdown and there's no doubt that he brought the energy. It was the second day of team camp and towards the end of the day but you couldn't tell by the way Caldwell was flying around and making plays. He was a player that we didn't know about coming into the camp at Carl Albert but we came away impressed. As far as his future as a prospect, we're not sure what position is the best fit but he should get some looks. He has a battery that doesn't stop and he does a great job of providing relentless pressure from wherever he lines up. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
