Continue ReadingWe wrote one of these articles at the start of June, covering athletes who had recently put themselves on our radars here at Prep Redzone WI just before the start of the camps season. Now that a large portion of camp season is in the books we have another slew of new names on our radar. These athletes let their talent do the talking this month. Let’s dive into their film to see what they did in 2023, and what we can expect this fall.

Amarel Daniel
Amarel Daniel
Amarel has quickly impressed me since being made aware of him earlier this month. The 5’9″ 160 lbs DB has earned offers from Whitewater and Oshkosh over the past couple days. When I went to the film it was very apparent what these schools liked about him. Amarel is a menace in the defensive backfield. You will see him lined up over the slot in off coverage a ton on his highlights. This allows the speedy DB to read the QB or receiver and flash his closing burst on routes in front of him or easily flip and run on deep routes. Daniel’s timing at the catch is excellent as well, perfectly breaking up passes with well timed punches. His instincts at DB are strong, and he trusts his athleticism to make plays. Amarel is on the rise. I’m excited to watch his senior season.
Kyreese has put together a great month of June. He dominated the River Falls Mega Camp with his 4.47 40, 36.8″ vertical, 9’9″ broad jump, and 4.22 pro agility. That 4.47 40 was 4th fastest out of the 800+ athletes. Since then he has earned offers from River Falls, Platteville, and Minot State. Between the offers and the dominant camp performance I had to get to his tape and see what he did on the field. In 2023 Appleton East used his game breaking speed to attack defenses. They used him in the passing game and also got him the ball at full speed so he could stretch the defense horizontally on sweeps or tosses, find a seam, and accelerate through it. If he got to open grass he was gone. Kyreese is a game breaker with the ball in his hands.
Highlights

Levi Nelson
Levi Nelson
Levi has proven to be an electric athlete during this camp cycle. At the River Falls Mega Camp he put up a 4.45 40 only to beat it with a 4.44 at one of the Madison camps a few days later. That isn’t surprising considering Levi made it to state in the 100M dash for track this past spring. The Ellsworth back turned that Mega Camp performance into an offer from the host team, UW- River Falls. So I went to the tape to find out more about the speedster, and to see if the speed translated to the field. Safe to say that it does. So many of his highlights are Levi finding a seam between the tackles and flying through it before the defense can collapse on him. Within those long runs are other supplemental traits like his vision to find blocks or cutbacks, or surprising contact balance to break tackles against DBs. Nelson can change a game with just a few touches.

Logan Gaffney
Logan Gaffney
Checking in at 6’1″ 285 lbs, Logan is a massive ball of punishment in the run game. He moves that big frame easily, getting up to the second level to either wall off an LB or bury them in the dirt with a powerful initial pop. Logan is a devastating puller, finding his target and running through them at top speed leaving a gaping hole for his back to run through. Gaffney also shows a solid anchor in pass protection. The incoming senior recently earned an offer from UW- Stevens Point. More of the WIAC need to check this kid out.

. I had our PRZ Dakotas scout keep an eye on him during his time out at the NDSU camp and he came back with rave reviews for the ’26 LB. So as we do I went back to the film to learn more about what he has to offer. Connor has a bright future based off what he showed as a sophomore. You see the high motor to chase down plays across the field. He has alignment versatility going from on the edge, out in the slot, off ball OLB, or with his hand in the dirt as a DE and making plays from all of them. The 6’2″ 220 lbs incoming junior has also developed superior play strength as he rips through blocks on his way to creating chaos for offenses. The ’26 is asked to do a lot of different things, telling me they trust his football IQ. Big things are ahead for Connor. I’m excited to see how he has improved this offseason once the tape starts to come out from this next season.
![Jackson Stein](https://prepredzone.com/wp-content/themes/prep-network-content/public/images/generic-male.png)
Jackson Stein
Jackson Stein
Jackson has had a great June, earning his first offer from Central Michigan. The ’26 OT looks the part of an FBS recruit with his 6’7″ 280 lbs frame. A frame that easily carries that 280 lbs. Jackson has long arms that deliver a powerful initial strike that has earned him a lot of pancakes. Jackson is naturally stronger than a lot of his opponents, allowing him to easily remove them from running lanes. Jackson has a very high ceiling because there are so many areas he can improve more, including his lower body flexibility so that he can play with more leverage. Big things are ahead for the incoming junior OT.
The incumbent QB1 for the Bay Port Pirates has had himself a good June leading into his junior season. I was able to get eyes on him live at the Badgers camp earlier this month. He quickly established himself as one of the top passers in attendance between his prototypical frame and an arm that was able to push the ball all over the indoor facility with accuracy and plenty of velocity. Last season on JV Matt put a lot of pressure on defenses because his arm required them to cover every level of the field, and even when they were on their man Stevens showed the spot on accuracy to even exploit that. Plus the ’26 also has some dual threat to his game, and can deliver the ball while on the move. I’m excited to see him make the jump to varsity this fall and see the tape that comes from it. Keep an eye on Matt.
