Bashua is a young and upcoming lineman with potential on both sides of the ball. His freshman tape was primarily on the defensive side coming off of the edge. He’s got a good burst off the line and can use his upper body strength to fend off blockers to get through. He’s got long arms and can wrong-arm his way through. He’s young and raw, but the potential is there to develop into a quality player for Avon.

Pasyk has a good frame and size that should help him stay productive as he gets a better feel for the varsity level. He’s got a strong lower body and does a good job staying grounded. He stays off his heels and can move laterally without any issues there. He’s able to wrap up and make tackles in open space, but proper form is still on its way. Pasyk should be set to help Westfield next fall upfront and make his impact right away.

Wrapping up his freshman year was the thick lineman from Lawrence Central who does a good job at disrupting the interior of the line. He’s got plenty of natural strength which helps him right at the line. He stays in his lane and won’t get lost in the mix. He’s then able to collapse the outside and work his way in. While he hasn’t hit Varsity yet, I don’t think it will be long until he slowly gets worked in.

Horton is a fantastic athlete who forced his way onto the field a little bit as a freshman. He’s explosive off the line and does a good job just showing relentless effort and pursuit. He’s got some twitch and bounce in his step that makes you think this is all the tip of the iceberg for him. He’s got a nice frame and it’s one that he’s still growing into. I wouldn’t be shocked if he graduates pushing 220 lbs or more. The future should be bright for Horton as long as he stays on the field and develops.
Roach is going to be a fun recruit to watch because he’s fairly versatile. A defensive lineman who can also act as a gunner on the punt team is always helpful. He’s got good size, range, and instincts that tend to keep him near the ball. He got some Varsity action as a freshman and made plays that showed he will belong. The next 3 years will be about developing and becoming consistent, but year 1 was promising.
