His freshman tape was primarily on the defensive side coming off of the edge. He's got a good burst off the line and can use his upper body strength to fend off blockers to get through. He's got long arms and can wrong-arm his way through. He's got a strong lower body and does a good job staying grounded. He stays off his heels and can move laterally without any issues there. He's able to wrap up and make tackles in open space, but proper form is still on its way. He's got plenty of natural strength which helps him right at the line. He stays in his lane and won't get lost in the mix. He's then able to collapse the outside and work his way in. He's explosive off the line and does a good job just showing relentless effort and pursuit. He's got some twitch and bounce in his step that makes you think this is all the tip of the iceberg for him. He's got a nice frame and it's one that he's still growing into. I wouldn't be shocked if he graduates pushing 220 lbs or more. A defensive lineman who can also act as a gunner on the punt team is always helpful. He's got good size, range, and instincts that tend to keep him near the ball. He got some Varsity action as a freshman and made plays that showed he will belong.
