Roach is a good athlete who is starting to put everything together on the field and the confidence jumped from year 1 to year 2. He’s nimble and off the line quickly which helps hin in the run game. His hand placement is decent and does a good job getting off exterior blocks. I think he takes a big jump in year 3 and should help bolster their defensive line.

Roach is going to be a fun recruit to watch because he’s fairly versatile. A defensive lineman who can also act as a gunner on the punt team is always helpful. He’s got good size, range, and instincts that tend to keep him near the ball. He got some Varsity action as a freshman and made plays that showed he will belong. The next 3 years will be about developing and becoming consistent, but year 1 was promising.
