[player_tooltip player_id='1132551' first='Ian' last='Hulbert'] - 2027 RB- Sprayberry

The 5'10 rising Sophomore RB played most of last season on the JV Squad for the Yellow Jackets, racking up 780 all-purpose yards in 6 games. He got some opportunities at the varsity level late last season scoring on TD on just 16 carries. He had a season high 47 yards on 4 carries in a 53-13 win over Lassiter. Tall, physical runner that figures to play a bigger role this season as the Yellow Jackets graduated a lot of their backfield production from '23. Scored a TD early in the Spring game. Long athletic RB that is used to running over people but has concentrated his efforts this offseason on becoming a more elusive runner. A name to watch over the next 3 seasons.

Christopher Willis - 2027 QB - Cedar Grove

Nothing like being in line as the next QB at a powerhouse State Championship program. The 6'1 Willis has all the tools to be the next star under center for the Saints. Long athletic frame that is nowhere close to reaching his peak physically. Considered a dual threat but I really like his ability to drop back in the pocket as a traditional passer. He has good ability at reading defenses and delivering strikes with a good throwing mechanics. Was a standout at the middle school level and seems primed to be a star on the high school level.

Jayce "Juice" Johnson - 2027 QB/S - Lowndes

It might be unfair to put Johnson on this list because people in the recruiting world and around South Georgia already know about this young man. Johnson still might be a year away from taking over the reins as QB1 at Lowndes but when he does, he will become National prospect. Great size and athleticism at 6'4 195. You could probably plug Johnson in at any skill position on the field and he would have success. He was UA Next MVP at the linebacker spot last year down in Orlando and has added height and muscle sense then. Ranked by some services at the #1 dual threat QB in the 2027 class and was named an 8th grade All American in '22. Listed as a safety as well as QB. With his size and speed he would be a P4 shoe in at the Safety position. We look forward to following this emerging stars career at Lowndes.

Jeremiah "J5" Roux - 2026 TE/LB - Mundy's Mill

This article is about emerging stars but Roux might already be there before I hit send on this article. The 6'3 205 athlete was officially clocked at 4.57 in the 40 and recently, this week, picked up what will be his first of many offers to play at the next level. A big presence in the middle for the Tigers. Has a good football IQ and reads the offense well. He has a quick 1st step when coming up in run support and is a physical tackler. Roux has the athleticism to cover backs out of the backfield and reacts well to the thrown ball. Breakout Junior season coming for this young man. Remember you heard about him here first.
