The Illinois 2025 rankings have been updated and there are a ton of new, impressive athletes that have been added to the already strong list of prospects. Among these athletes are some prospects that have the size to play above the rim. The length to give their QBs huge targets read, and the overall size to be a mismatch for defenses to have to guard. In this article I want to dive into the tape of the 5 biggest WRs/TEs in our rankings that are currently uncommitted and see what they have to offer overall.

The biggest of the bunch is the massive 6'6" 220 lbs TE out of Carmel Catholic, [player_tooltip player_id='1292116' first='Jack' last='Greiber']. Greiber lines up in your traditional TE position and plays the part of a three down, old school TE. Someone who can be slippery off the line so he can get a clean release. He is a long strider in the open field and covers ground on crossing routes where he can use his speed to pull away from LBs. Jack also acts as an extra offensive lineman in the run game. We see him dominant DEs/Edges with power as he puts them on their backs. Greiber also shows great range as he gets up to level two. We also see great awareness on double teams, coming off at the perfect time to pick up LBs once level one is secure. Jack provides a mismatch in both the run and pass game.

Next up is [player_tooltip player_id='1292241' first='Grant' last='Smith']. The TE is now up to an elite 6'5" 225 lbs, and the offers from the FCS levels are coming in hot! You can line the massive target up inline or out in the slot. From either position he shows the speed to stretch the seam, soft hands, and good body positioning to box out DBs. Grant is also a punishing runner after the catch. We consistently see him run through 2-3 tackles before he is finally brought down throughout his highlights. We see that sam bully mentality in the run game where he looks to punish opponents. Check him out.

The 6'4" 185 lbs WR out of West Aurora is a specimen. His elite athletic traits jump off the tape. Terrence brings a massive catch radius to the field. You see it in his highlights, if he can get a hand on it odds are he will come down with it. Whether he has to go way up and get it or catch it in stride down the sideline, Smith is a nightmare to guard because of the size of the catch radius he provides and the unfair frame. His concentration in traffic and the timing of his high pointing the ball flash his basketball experience. The crazy part is that the stud WR is still developing the nuanced parts of the position, so the ceiling is still so much higher for him. It is no surprise that his raw tools have earned him multiple Big Ten offers among others. Watch these highlights. You will not be disappointed.

After watching through the highlights it is clear that Williamsfield does their best to get the ball into Talan's hands quickly so he can take care of the rest. The 6'4" 200 lbs TE is used heavily in the quick pass and screen game where he can use his speed to beat angles or power to break tackles. He shows great vision in the open field after the catch, which has also made him a solid kick returner. Talan brings that innate playmaking ability to the field. The ability to make something special happen in situations that most can't. The standout TE also looks comfortable at LB and could garner looks there too. Give the 2025 a look.

The 6'4" 180 lbs WR from Breeze Central seems to be slipping under the radar a bit. The tape has a lot to be excited about. He does the typical things you want from a big-bodied WR. You see him go up and get it at the high point. He uses his body well to box out DBs. His long strides cover ground at a deciding quick pace. Griffen also does things you don't see a ton of big weapons do at this level. He shows quick feet that allow him to run effective routes or use double moves to get DBs to bite. Griffen is a well rounded WR. From snap to snap on his highlights you never know if he is going to fly by a DB for a long TD, flatten an LB in the run game, or pile up the YAC on short catches as he breaks through tackles. He is a weapon that can be relied on out wide. Check out his highlights.
