2025 Prospects Adding Their First Offer

This is a prime time of year for offers to start rolling out. Here are some rising seniors in Georgia who just added offer number 1.    Trey Watkins is a late bloomer on the trail with a chance to break out this fall. He is a dual sport athlete at 6'0 190 and is a high academic student. He is a natural athlete, doing enough in his feet and hips to get DBs off-platform and work back toward the QB. As he refines his football-specific movements and becomes more explosive, his game will go to another level. He flashes really smooth and solid hands, shielding off DBs from the catch point and picking the ball away from his body. He might not consistently break into the deep part of the field, but he could be a reliable pass catcher in the underneath part of the field. He just picked up offer 1 from Sewanee.     May 5th, 2024 Eval of Wayland:   "Wayland is the top DB for Creekview, and may even get some reps on offense as well. He is a versatile guy that can play at every DB spot, but I project him to the college level as a N. He is best playing off the line, where he can click downhill and play through WRs in a physical manner. He plays with good footwork and has a smooth back-pedal. He is patient, putting himself in the right position to make plays and doesn't over-commit to spots. When attacking the football, he works through the catch pocket of WRs. His physical nature and tackling ability raises his floor. He is an FCS level prospect."   Wayland just picked up offer 1 from Sewanee.     May 20th, 2024 Eval of Guest:   "   "[player_tooltip player_id='411240' first='Austin' last='Guest']<a href="https://prepredzone.com/player/austin-guest/"></a> is a well-covered prospect at this point, making an impact on varsity for Creekview since his freshman season. He showed a lot of what we already know about him on spring tape, flashing underrated arm talent and spectacular athleticism for a QB. However, it looks like his mechanics are starting to come full circle, throwing off a cleaner base more consistently and working downhill when throwing on the move. He has the ability to make some eye-popping throws, getting the ball behind safeties while off-platform and on his back foot. He is deadly accurate throwing on the move, and is often schemed up those chances. Guest has performed well on the camp circuit this offseason and is generating more buzz right now than at any other point in his recruitment. It's a matter of time before his first official offer comes."   Guest just added offer 1 from Reinhardt.     [player_tooltip player_id='1080813' first='Ahmad' last='Gordon'] is an extremely productive RB and has been for several years now. In the last week, he picked up his first offer from Reinhardt, then followed it up with his first D1 offer from Southern Illinois. He is a stout runner-up to 5'9 190. He runs with a low center of gravity, allowing him to stay upright through arm tackles and roll off defenders. He is more quick than he is fast, picking apart defenses and searching for running lanes as he jumps across the face of defenders. He can sequence moves, often generating several fly-by misses in one play. He runs with his shoulders squared to the LOS, keeping all options open and scanning for openings. Gordon is a cloud of dust runner that is difficult to tackle. He will head to college physically ready and with big-game experience.     [player_tooltip player_id='1566871' first='Xavier' last='Hill'] is an athletic QB prospect with his best ball ahead of him. He has been waiting in the wings behind another productive QB, but his athleticism is impossible to keep off the field. He played some RB, WR, and even lined up at TE as a junior. He is light on his feet, making defenders miss in a phone booth and easily creating his own yards. This year, he should settle back in at the QB spot. He is a good baseball player as well, and it shows on tape. He cuts through the ball with his longer arm action and fires his hips. The ball flies off his hand, and he can work while on the move too. Hill is another naturally athletic person who has worn a lot of hats in several sports, which is only going to raise his floor and his ceiling.   Hill picked up offer 1 from Reinhardt.     Aiden Ellis is a big body that will find the field as an edge-setter. He is a stout 6'1 237, already rocking a well-built frame. He is physically manipulative on the edge, locking out against blocks to keep his chest clean, allowing him to easily shed and chase after the ball. On short-yardage situations, he plays with good leverage and has the play strength needed to push his 1v1 into the pocket. He might not be the most fleet of foot, but he is a patient pursuer of the football and is a solid tackler. Once he gets his hands on smaller ball carriers, it is nearly impossible to slip from his grip. Ellis just picked up his first offer from Reinhardt.     Izzy Conway is one of the more underrated WR prospects in the state, and he is finally gaining some recruiting traction after receiving offer number 1 from Sewanee. He has the mismatch factor at 6'3 200, but a bulk of his production comes from underneath. He is quick off the line and does a good job of getting DBs vertical, where he then snaps off his route and works back toward the QB. After the catch, he is explosive and quickly gets north. He is a big body and moves well, building up a lot of momentum and proving difficult to tackle in the open field. Conway's size, speed, and production at all levels of the field should bode well for him at the next level.
