Updated 2025 Rankings: Fastest Stock Risers (Part 2)

Here are five more of the Fastest Stock Risers:</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='836902' first='Jon' last='Baca'], Cleveland</strong>: Baca is the No. 1 tight end in the state. He's got great size (6-2, 210 pounds). He was utilized mainly as a blocking TE last season but should have a larger role in the Storm's passing attack in 2024. He visited New Mexico Highlands last weekend for the Spring Game following the Cowboys' offer in March. Previously, he visited Western Colorado, West Texas A&amp;M and Eastern New Mexico. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1118048' first='Kevin' last='Cuomo'], Eldorado</strong>: Cuomo is going into his third season with the Eldorado varsity and suffice it to say he's been under the radar. But then he went to the state powerlifting championships in April and lifted more weight than anybody else there even though he competed in the 198-pound class. He won his division by 265 pounds. That will get the college coaches talking.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1119551' first='Javier' last='Filerio'], Gadsden</strong>: The Panthers' 6-foot-4, 290-pound offensive lineman rocketed up the rankings and is now one of our top 10 2025 offensive linemen in the state. &nbsp;Peru State in Nebraska has offered. Eastern New Mexico and other schools have invited him to camp. Filerio is definitely a player to watch in southern New Mexico this fall. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1118395' first='Logan' last='Gosnell'], Bloomfield</strong>: Gosnell emerged last season as one of the top linebackers in the Four Corners, finishing with over 60 tackles. He was impressive at the recent Prep Redzone Combine in Grants. He's tough (finished 3rd in his weight class at the state wrestling championships), physical, fast and has great footwork, all traits he showed at the Combine. He'll be one the leaders of another strong Bloomfield defense in 2024.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1118370' first='Kaden' last='Grantham'], Artesia</strong>: The 6-foot-4, 220-pound Grantham emerged last season as one of the top defensive end prospects in the state. He finished with over 70 tackles, 3 sacks and 10 TFL, showing he's quite capable of wreaking havoc in opposing offensive backfields.
