Ewald is a compact back who has a nice frame that allows him to run within the tackles without an issue or getting worn down. He weighed in Sunday at just over 200lbs. He then ran fairly well putting up just under a 5 second 40-yard dash. However, where Ewald really seems to thrive is change of direction and start/stop ability. His shuttle was a very respectable 4.56. Not just that, but then when he got onto the field he showed the same traits. He’s not the fastest RB on the field, but he can cut as quick as anyone else and that makes a world of a difference in short areas.

Hurley is a WR who is a bit ahead of schedule with his development, but that’s not slowing him down. He’s got a fantastic build and has the length to go over the top of any defender. 6’2″ and 210lbs as a freshman WR is a good sign of things to come. He ran a 4.9 40-yard dash, so he’s got some speed with that frame as well. He has no issue tracking the ball over his shoulder and bringing in those types of catches. He broke onto the field as a freshman and put up some promising tape and numbers. Hurley is testing well, already on Varsity, and checks a bunch of boxes for a young WR to watch moving forward.

Boutsomsy has been one of the most consistent and hard-working recruits in the class since they were in middle school. He’s always been a great athlete, has elite speed, and makes big plays at camps. Not just that, but he’s always been hyper-productive on the field. He’s got blazing speed in the open field and once gets behind that first wave of defense he’s as dangerous as anyone. He tested well again on Sunday and was one of the most consistent pass-catchers out there. In short, he can be trusted to make the catch when the ball is thrown is way. Being able to come out of the backfield and the slot will only help him at the next level. His versatility and work ethic will get him on the field somewhere on Saturdays.

Teising was at the 7 on 7 camp just a few weeks ago where he left as one of the MVPs. He looked good then and had my interest. I didn’t know he would be back at the combine a few weeks later and I’d get to see him test. Athletically, he’s someone who isn’t anywhere close to his ceiling yet. He’s 6’2″ and runs a 4.83 40-yard dash, a 4.42 shuttle which was 3rd best at the camp, a 9’4″ broad jump which was 4th best, and then he had the 2nd fastest L-drill at 6.73 seconds. In short, he’s got speed, very good change of direction, and knows how to get open. It’s been a fantastic few weeks for Teising and he’s now a guy I think could really take off over the next few months.
