CJ Griffin
CJ Griffin
CJ Griffin is going to be a tough runner to stop these upcoming seasons. A running back for Ridge, CJ is a long stride runner that cuts through the middle and uses his length to outrun the defense. For a taller runner, CJ is surprisingly agile and does an excellent job making guys miss immediately after he’s handed the ball. CJ is a name I believe the state will become more familiar with as he continues to add muscle to an already larger frame.
Seton Hall Prep is one of my favorite offensive units in the state, and you can’t go on covering a team without discussing the talent upfront. Nicholas Danieli Nicholas Danieli 6’1″ | 260 lbs | OL Seton Hall Prep | 2027 State NJ is an up and coming tackle that is looking to solidify himself in the starting lineup in 2024. Nicholas has a big frame and good usage of hands, allowing him to get defenders hips turned and out of the way of the runner. Nicholas does get beat off the line from time to time, but I am sure that is something he will clean up over the offseason.

Marist Veres Royal Marist Veres Royal 6’2″ | 240 lbs | ATH St. Joseph Regional | 2026 State NJ is a player that the Prep Redzone team has known for a while now and has always kept on our radar. Marist has partaken in camps and combines throughout his young career, and with all that practice and skill development, he is ready finally unload it all once he steps onto the field for St. Joseph’s this fall.

A ferocious rusher off of the edge, Andrew Bowers Andrew Bowers 6’1″ | 200 lbs | DL Rahway | 2027 State NJ is another player that I think will shine at the combine. Andrew is a quick, athletic edge rusher that has the potential to force pressure on the QB early in the play. Equipped with long range in his reach, it is hard for any runner to get away from Andrew once he is within their grasp. While Rahway ended the season on a hefty losing streak, Andrew Bowers Andrew Bowers 6’1″ | 200 lbs | DL Rahway | 2027 State NJ and Co. will look to reverse their fortunes come 2024.
Germaine Rice
Germaine Rice
A future ball hawk defensive back, Germaine Rice could be one of those cornerbacks you start hearing more about after this weekend’s combine. Germaine’s reflexes and reaction time allows him to change directions seamlessly, preventing the receiver from shaking him away. He’s also taller than you’re average corner, giving him an advantage to outcompete the WR for the ball. A wide receiver as well, Germaine has break away speed that could make him a dangerous downfield threat for years to come.
