SIOUX FALLS-- Our final standout reports from the Midwest Showcase put on by the Sioux Falls Sharks/Bauer's Elite have now been posted. Three states dominate this list and our notepad has now been scratched with the 35 prospects that stood out a few Saturday's back at Sioux Falls Jefferson. To St. Cloud's finest, more hidden gems from small town Iowa, and much more, we uncover it all with 11 more of the final standouts from SF.

[player_tooltip player_id='1275451' first='Everett' last='Starks'], WR, Sioux Falls Sharks/Sioux Falls Lincoln, SD 2027 Twitter

Everett was yet another first look prospect for me in the 2027 class that lit a spark as a 2027 wide receiver from Sioux Falls Lincoln. Where did Everett leave the spark? I was impressed with how springy this young man looked in the open field as his 6'1 155 pound body brought the length which was clear, but the vision brought a great first live eval. Everett is one that intrigues me with his upside, as after flashing his tape he shows off some solid brakes with his turns.

Lucas Diehl, TE, Carroll Chargers/Kuemper Catholic, IA 2027 Twitter

Lucas is another that blossomed not only at Back 2 Ballin but also at the Midwest Showcase as this freshmen is a freak athlete already and his journey is just getting started. I took a better look at watching his first step closer on a few Saturday's back and I cannot wait to watch that instinct and burst get even faster, because it is almost unfair now coming thru as a 6'3 250 pound tight end. No doubt that Lucas has positional flexibility which from my eyes comes down to not two, but three spots which a college coach will fall for quickly. Could certainly see Lucas be an early offer target out of Iowa.

[player_tooltip player_id='743258' first='Elijah' last='Adzimahe'], ATH, Minnesota Elite/North St Paul, MN 2026 Twitter

One of Minnesota Elite's top performers in 18U on both sides of the ball was North St. Paul's [player_tooltip player_id='743258' first='Elijah' last='Adzimahe']. Elijah showed off well-versed athletic movement in pass coverage as his great vision took shape on multiple occasions in one outing where he recorded two interceptions during one game. I was also impressed with the under the radar instincts that Elijah possessed as I fell into becoming a big fan of his football IQ and that was on both sides of the ball. The projection level to playing in the secondary in the coming years translates well to Elijah's game looking ahead at this young man as one that I like the upside he has to grow in the coming years as one of the Polars hidden gems and shows off more length than he'll get credit for too.

Jace Colling, WR, Carroll Chargers/MMCRU, IA 2025 Twitter

There certainly was not a WR prospect with stronger hands out of the state of Iowa at the Midwest Showcase than what Jace Colling showed us a couple Saturdays ago. The three sport athlete from MMCRU, showed off plenty of poise and it didn't matter how much traffic came around Jace from the secondary, this kid constantly found a way to make a handful of receptions from what we watched in Sioux Falls. Jace also was twitchy with his change of direction which caused him to get consistent separation as the tape also shows that the two-time All-District wide receiver brings out the instincts with his high football IQ to the open field. At 6'3 185 pounds, Jace is more sudden than you would expect and I have to say I am surprised that first offer has not come in yet.

[player_tooltip player_id='660460' first='Noah' last='Theis'], QB, Minnesota Elite/St. Cloud Tech, MN 2025 Twitter

This was my second live evaluation I got out of Noah this Spring, and I thought seeing him in a different setting paid off dividends for this kid. Noah showed off much more athleticism that I thought this young man had in the tank, as his escape ability under pressure still showed poise for quick reads and quick releases that just grinded down the field for chunks of yards. He knew how to mix it up with his throws with changing tempo. Mechanically I feel he has grown a good amount since I saw him a few months ago and is one that should get some next-level looks over the next handful of months.

[player_tooltip player_id='210623' first='Elijah' last='Boutchee'], LB, Midwest Miners/Pierre T.F. Riggs, SD 2025, SD Twitter

EJ is one that has impressed us since his freshmen year and impressed us even further at the Midwest Showcase. The top 15 prospect in 2025, showed off at a new position in Sioux Falls, as a linebacker and showed off further to me how high his upside could be as an LB at the next-level. His great work ethic shows off a demeanor that he will do anything to benefit his team as he played with more instincts at linebacker than most would probably give him credit for. Not only was he owning his craft and getting a strong feel with all the reps he got, I even towards the end of the showcase saw him show out as a team-leader, showing great command with his teammates in a new position. No doubt EJ has a quick learning curve with what I saw and there is also no doubt that he is due for a BIG summer at camps.

[player_tooltip player_id='1240284' first='Gavin' last='Gall'], ATH, Minnesota Elite/St. Cloud Tech, MN 2025 Twitter

Last but certainly not least, is who I would call my tournament MVP which was St. Cloud Tech 2025 [player_tooltip player_id='1240284' first='Gavin' last='Gall']. After winning WR MVP at our Prep Redzone Minnesota Combine a few weeks before, Gavin showed off what our Minnesota scouts saw in Plymouth. Defensively, I was very intrigued with Gavin's pre-snap positioning as it showed that he knew where to persue the ball and how to get a step ahead of the pass-catcher which he didn't just show that off once, it was routine throughout the day. In pass coverage, his vision was excellent as although not the biggest kid in the secondary, he sure looked like he could cover from sideline to sideline. Offensively, his hands thru contact showed out and the biggest draw to Gavin's skillsets was his highly active twitch with his footwork, as I saw him flip the field once for a touchdown and put someone in the secondary on ice skates. As a neighbor to St. Cloud, you can bet I will be watching the QB/WR duo of Theis and Gall this summer and fall.

More Standouts

Here are a few standouts I had quick notes on from the Midwest Showcase.

[player_tooltip player_id='848984' first='Landyn' last='Reiser'], ATH, Pink-SD Elite/Tri-Valley, SD 2026 Twitter

Back to back 7v7 events now that Landon was a standout on my prospect reports. In my quick notes I had, Owen showed growing attention to detail with his footwork and his balance around the sidelines. His feet also showed off more agile movement to get more separation showing off some growth this Spring season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1263884' first='Chace' last='Hermanson'], QB, Sioux Falls Sharks/Sioux Falls O'Gorman, SD 2027

Chace is a new one I learned about a few weeks ago and I could see the growth at the Midwest Showcase with his poise development in the pocket, as he seemed to progress quicker thru his reads than in the past evaluations I had this Spring.
