Segura is an athletic youngster who was at the controls on offense. Mobile when rolling out and finding his teammates at all levels. Can fit passes into tight windows with good vision and accuracy. While also placing the ball in front of receivers to give them ability to keep their momentum and get up field. Good early signs from the potential dual threat quarterback. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Cooper Valla, Quarterback Class of 2033, ThunderBird Elite (NE) </strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Another quarterback who played the role of the distributor well. Even having one of his better passing games on Saturday when throwing into a stiff wind which had insane gusts. Looked to be improving at getting through his reads and then taking what the defense was giving him. Setting up a rope a dope type effect where he would find receivers deeper down field after a series of short completions. There's promise that Valla could develop into a cerebral and accurate QB, especially if he keeps producing when playing up against older competition. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Silas Clauder, Wide Receiver Class of 2031, Strongside KC (MO)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The youngster has impressive body control and tracking of the ball for his young age. Was a big time threat all over the field, but particularly was a weapon on the boundaries. First impressed with a back shoulder snag for a big catch. Continued that theme when high pointing and getting his feet inbounds on an out route. While a lot of his catches were more of the chain moving variety, he did also burn the defense for a touchdown Which fittingly came after he showed great concentration to track a tip drill pass. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Colten Oelling, Quarterback Class of 2032, Warren Academy Next (NE) </strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Oelling had good moments on Saturday, but really shined on Sunday morning in Warren Academy's first bracket play game. He led a come a dramatic come from behind victory. Tossed multiple touchdowns and was much more in control and accurate when compared to Saturday. They needed every point to complete the rally, which included Oelling showing the patience to a let a route combination do it's job of freeing a receiver for a crucial two point conversion. He then tossed a perfect strike to the corner Also logged time on the defensive of the ball, where he was a key part of a stop that flipped the contest in the final seconds.
