Who are some fast-rising prospects in the 2026 class across Georgia?

[player_tooltip player_id='908951' first='Carsyn' last='Baker'] - RB - Langston Hughes

An electric back from Atlanta and one of the best across Georgia for the 2026 class, Baker ran wild as a sophomore last season and has seen his recruitment really take off this spring. Now, this strong 6-foot-2 200-pounder has earned a new ACC offer from the N.C State Wolfpack. He also holds major offers from Auburn, Texas A&M, Kentucky, UCF, among others. He's a natural runner with the ball in his hands who finds the hole hard and powers through it with ease. He's a back who can pick up big yards up the middle while having enough speed to get to the perimeter and get up the field. His impressive combination of speed and power will allow him to fly up the 2026 Prep Redzone rankings when the next update is released. His best football is way ahead of him, and he's likely bound for a gigantic senior season for Langston Hughes in 2024. Look for more offers to keep coming his way as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='1323217' first='Benjamin' last='Corhei'] - OL - Lowndes

A promising young guard who made a big impact on the interior last year as a sophomore, Corhei is a South Georgia lineman on the rise seeing his recruitment pick up after a big 2023 season where he consistently opened up running lanes for the Vikings' offense. At 6-foot-5 280-pounds, he's a physically imposing lineman who loves to play with a physical presence. He's quick off the line and plays with good leverage, allowing him to blow back defenders on the line of scrimmage. He earned a new offer this week from the Kentucky Wildcats, and more are likely coming his way. He's still developing as a pass-protector, but there's still plenty of time for him to keep progressing there. He's only going to get better, and he's going to be a force to deal with for defensive linemen in South Georgia next season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1325784' first='Maurice' last='Mathis Jr.'] - ATH - Houston County

A playmaking receiver with speed and above-average explosiveness, Mathis Jr. is a Middle Georgia wideout who is bound for a breakout junior season for the Bears in 2024. He's a shifty, sure-handed pass-catcher who can get open on his own and test defensive backs down the field. At 6-foot-0 180-pounds, Mathis Jr. has good size and the ability to leap and make a play on the football over his head. He shows good change of direction and enough speed to out-run defensive backs down the field. His potential and overall talent are easy to see, and he earned a new offer this week from Florida Atlantic. His recruitment is on the rise, and more could come his way this summer. Look for him to take a step forward in the next 2026 Prep Redzone rankings.
