Wolk showcased that he has mastered to a high degree a number of fundamentals. First, he establishes and maintains a consistent basis throughout drills. This helps him maintain balance and power angles throughout snaps. That base is aided by short, choppy steps as he works to drive block and climb to the second level. When he pulls, I noticed Wolk sort of wind up a bit to deliver big impact. I would discourage this, but to quench his desire for layout blocks he should run through contact..... Monmouth County's [player_tooltip player_id='1283978' first='Gavin' last='O'Malley'] of Red Bank Catholic also made the trip slightly-south-but-more-west to compete. O'Malley showed a lot of positive signs. First, when facing a bull rush he anchored himself well. Similarly, he handled speed rushes well as he was able to move his feet side-to-side quickly enough to stay in front of most matchups. One thing I wanted to see a bit more of from O'Malley was the ability to finish and bury his blocks with more authority.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Riverside's [player_tooltip player_id='1227833' first='Chase' last='Perry'], one of the Ram boys, is a prospect I have seen much of as of late. A very large specimen, Perry has the size to match anyone on the field. What intrigued me about Perry was actually how he handled smaller, faster matchups. Perry found himself with the ability to fold smaller matchups - who were lower than him - backwards on themselves. There was an instance or two where coach had to blow an early whistle for safety concerns, as Perry was bending his matchup backwards like a pretzel and nearly landed on him in doing so..... Manchester Township is home to [player_tooltip player_id='1265762' first='Ryan' last='Dunckley']. A prospect I had previewed prior to Jersey Juice, I was happy to get a live look at the big offensive line prospect. Dunckley showcased a really nice kick step. He worked backwards and reached for grass quickly and securely. On the flip side, Dunckley would benefit from improving his bend, and thus pad level, enabling him to get lower. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
