Don't Sleep On These 5 Underdogs

Every year we have kids that are just straight up slept on. There are often players that colleges are overlooking or just flat out don't know about yet. In this article I will be highlight 5 athletes that are probably too far down recruiting boards, and it's time for them to get a jump!    Hadi has continued to work on his craft, and has done a good job of transforming his body and his technical abilities. He is strong, he absorbs contact and doesn't get shed easily at all. I think he's a little bit overlooked, but he plays in a very tough conference, and was holding his own and then some as a sophomore. I really like seeing that he is working his tail off at camps this summer. I think he will absolutely start to get noticed before long now.     Do I think Luke is the most naturally gifted running back? Maybe not, but you cannot mistake his hard running and relentlessness. Watching his film, I see a tremendously determined runner who blows through arm tackles, finds a crease and takes off. His vision is on point and his 1 cut and go approach serves him really well. He is a very productive player, as he also had 100+ tackles at the LB spot also, so you know stamina is no issue! Look for Luke to have another very good season in 2024!     Lukas is a strong downhill runner who can blast through the hole and get to open field efficiently. He really impressed me with how he is able to take a hit and stay balanced for more yardage. While he doesn't play elite competition week in and week out, you can absolutely tell he has some good talent that is just waiting to be discovered. I've been hoping to catch him at a camp this summer, I would love to see him work!     I believe Javon could be one of the best WR's in the state that nobody knows. He is the king of high pointing balls and coming down with jump balls. He has great body control that allows him to adjust in air and get in position to make super contested catches. He runs solid routes, and overall has really good instincts to get open. I hope some of the D2 schools in the U.P have Javon on their radar!     After seeing Vinson play at the Hoosier State Hustle tournament, I can say for sure this is a kid I am betting on having a big fall. I don't think he's as highly coveted as some of the other athletes in this class, but he can play! Offensively he runs speedy and detailed routes, he has a big catch radius and does a nice job of turning and getting up field immediately after making the catch. Defensively he is very instinctual, always anticipating where the play is going and making the break for the ball quickly. I watched him multiple times make some really impressive plays on the ball when others would have been late. Vinson will definitely have a spot playing on Saturday's next fall if he has a big season this fall!
