Earlier today we released the updated 2025 prospect rankings. In Part 1 of a series, here are eight of the Fastest Stock Risers (listed in alphabetical order):

[player_tooltip player_id='613746' first='Zaiden' last='Davis'], Centennial: Few players rose farther up the rankings than Davis, who emerged in the second half of last season as a dynamic dual threat QB for the Hawks. The 6-foot-3, 195-pound Davis certainly caught the attention of New Mexico and New Mexico State as the Lobos and Aggies have both offered. Besides being fast and elusive, Davis is also incredibly strong as he recently finished 4th in the Class 5A 198-pound division at the state powerlifting championships.

[player_tooltip player_id='1118051' first='Mason' last='Greathouse'], Roswell: Greathouse may be the best player on what should be the state's top defensive line in 2024. The 6-foot-3, 235-pound Greathouse was outstanding in 2023 when he finished with about 50 tackles and 11 sacks. His pass rushing skills are elite. First-Team All-State last season. New Mexico, New Mexico State and Eastern New Mexico have expressed interest. West Texas A&M has offered.

[player_tooltip player_id='1119683' first='Joey' last='Harris'], Sandia: The 6-foot-1, 185-pound Harris was an unsung hero for the Matadors last season with 36 receptions for 552 yards and 7 TD, earning him First-Team All-District honors. He emerged as one of the top WRs in the Albuquerque Metro Region. He's caught the eye of college coaches as ENMU and UT Permian Basin have expressed interest.

[player_tooltip player_id='615455' first='Nate' last='Libby'], Las Cruces: Covering the 6-foot-3 Libby is a tough assignment for defensive backs. Last season he had 63 receptions for 1,089 yards for the Bulldawgs, including 10 receptions for 150+ yards and 2 TD in the quarterfinal playoff win over rival Centennial. Libby was offered last June by New Mexico Highlands. You can expect more offers to come his way this summer and fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='1237979' first='Daniel' last='Quinones'], Eldorado: The speedy Quinones was recently offered by New Mexico Highlands, and his performance at the Prep Redzone Combine in Grants showed why college coaches are pursuing him. Great hands and shiftiness. New Hampshire, Arizona Christian, Midwestern State and Amherst have recently expressed interest.

[player_tooltip player_id='613059' first='Leandro' last='Salazar'], Espanola Valley: Salazar's rise mirrors that of vastly improved Espanola Valley. He's a 6-foot-2, 265-pound linemen for the Sundevils. His impressive showing at the recent state powerlifting championships earned him the distinction of being called one of the strongest players in the state for 2024. His recruiting should take off this summer and fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='1194194' first='Ricky' last='Scroggins'], Manzano: Because Manzano has struggled in the W-L department for the past couple of seasons, the 6-foot-1, 285-pound Scroggins has flown under the radar as one of the top trench players in the Albuquerque Metro Region. This past weekend he visited Central Oklahoma and New Mexico Highlands. Several other schools, including Northwestern, have issued camp invitations.

[player_tooltip player_id='837220' first='Juan' last='Vigil'], Valley: Vigil is a man-child at 6-foot-5, 295 pounds. His impressive performance at the Prep Redzone Combine in Grants, where he earned Defensive MVP honors, assuring his rapid rise up the rankings. He created a buzz among the coaches and his recruiting is sure to take off this summer and fall. Vigil will be part of a potentially superb Valley D-Line. Eastern New Mexico, Buena Vista University, Knox College

https://twitter.com/DavisZaiden/status/1724269506401333458

https://twitter.com/joey_harris88/status/1774158257017311743

https://twitter.com/natelibby_3/status/1732557596815741238

https://twitter.com/RickyS5071/status/1723552146145386914

https://twitter.com/MasonGr8house/status/1730658937026789684

https://twitter.com/25DanielQ/status/1779263394673217892

https://twitter.com/ValleyFB54/status/1779270946848702669
