A Monsignor Farrell duo continues to pop up on the recruiting report, A Rochester athlete that continues to showcase why some of the best athletes come from the 585, and some first D1 offers for a couple young studs out of WNY and CNY showcasing why the entire state of New York has guys who can play at the next level. Safe to say a lot is looking good in New York and we continue to spotlight all the offers and commitments from New Yorkers in our weekly recruiting report.
Check out last week’s recruiting report here.
The TE prospect from Staten Island continues a strong run in his recruitment as he picks up an offer from the local D1 school in Wagner. The 6’5 240lbs Pedreros continues to build on a strong spring and should continue to impress coaches with his combination of size and athleticism through spring workouts.
Good week to be a tight end in New York. Jake Kessner Jake Kessner 6’4″ | 235 lbs | TE Rye | 2025 State NY picks up his 10th D1 offer from Maine and Kessner continues to grow an already long list of suitors. A versatile receiving threat who can play in the slot or as an in-line tight end has the athleticism that will continue to attract schools.
Highlights
Gillians is essentially a mainstay in our recruiting reports as he continues to be one of the hottest names in New York. Out of Rochester, Gillians continues to rake in P4 offers. His most recent an offer from West Virginia in addition to an offer from Bryant which was camped off with a visit to Penn State. Gillians continues to stay busy and has one of the most highly anticipated decisions as schools will continue to push for his commitment.
Tyler Davis Tyler Davis 6’4″ | 225 lbs | DL Erasmus Hall | 2025 State NY who transitioned from the NYCHSFL to the PSAL this past fall was a dominant part of the strongest defensive line group in the state at Erasmus Hall this past season. Davis who had some D1 interest early in his career picked up a D1 offer this week from Fordham. Expect Davis to continue to gather interest through the spring and he is a player to watch this fall as he becomes the main focus of an Erasmus Hall defensive line group that loses three players to D1 colleges.
Just like his Monsignor Farrell teammate Pedreros, Clarke continues to pick up offers and picked up an offer this past week from the local D1 Wagner. Clarke a talented multi-sport athlete has high-level athleticism and size to play OLB at the Division 1 level. Clarke continues to be one of the most sought-after NY prospects by FCS schools all over the northeast.
Miron Gurman Miron Gurman 6’7″ | 245 lbs | DL Spencerport | 2025 State NY , who has elite level length and size to his game picks up his second D1 offer after a visit to Buffalo. The TE/DE prospect could end up playing OT at the next level but his athletic ability at his size is impressive at whatever position you line him up at. Gurman now has offers from UConn and Buffalo, two of the top G5 schools in the northeast.
The first offer comes in for Clark who had a historic freshman season for Lackawanna and was featured in some of New York’s Top Freshman Performances. Clark, a dynamic athlete whose physical running style and breakaway speed sparked an easy transition to Varsity picks up his first offer from Syracuse and showcases how some of the best 2027 talent in the state of New York resides in WNY.
There are some skill players, namely tight ends in this article who wow with their size and athleticism. Khalil Cox Khalil Cox 6’9″ | 365 lbs | DL CBA-Syracuse | 2026 NY towers over them all. Cox, at 6’9 360lbs is a massive human being and he continues to slim down and develop his body the right way. Cox put some impressive reps on tape this past fall and picked up a well-deserved offer from his hometown school Syracuse this past week. This is Cox’s first offer but do not be surprised if he becomes one of the next hot names on the recruiting report as coaches visit schools through the spring.
