Rodriguez played more linebacker this season for Shafter, and is a fluid athlete that flows well to the ball, can weave through traffic and fills gaps quickly while running through lead blockers and is not afraid to bang in the box as well. He shows solid COD abilities and can sniff out screens/draws quickly and shows closing speed outside the tackles while a sure tackler in space that takes good angles in the open field. In coverage, he shows he can cover bigger receivers and backs out of the backfield, and has a strong understanding of zone coverage responsibilities while baiting quarterbacks into bad throws over the middle. He is a next level player that should find a home at the D3+ level and is in line for a huge Senior season.
Jackson is a still raw and developing prospect with good length and covers a ton of ground off the ball when collapsing the pocket. He is a twitchy player when kicked inside as well, and has heavy hands at the strike point, instant lockout to keep blockers away from his chest, and shows a quick re-direct when in the backfield and when chasing backside. Still developing as a run defender, he does show quick block recognition and is a high effort guy with a constant motor. Look for Jackson to be one of the top pass rushers across the central valley in 2024 and should see his recruiting start to pick up sooner rather than later.
Mann is a more twitchy and athletic inside guy that should fit nicely at the next level at defensive tackle, and shows a explosive first step, quick inside hand strike, and creates immediate knock-back while able to eat up double teams and defeat reach/drive blocks with ease. Mann also shows that he can rush the passer from the inside with a variety of moves and has a quick use of hands at the POA while also showing good bend in tight spaces which is impressive for someone his size. Mann is another no brainer next level kid that can help a college roster, and is one of the better inside defensive linemen the valley has.
