’25 IOL | Jeremiah Powers Jeremiah Powers 5'11" | 275 lbs | OL Detroit King | 2025 MI | Detroit MLK | Twitter
H: 5’11” W: 265
Love me some good Center highlights. Jeremiah is a brick wall of a lineman. He does his job, and he does it well. I’m not blown away by any single aspect of his game, but he has good enough strength, agility, and oftentimes sheer momentum to successfully block the majority of players. He could drive and stick onto linemen a little more, but if Jeremiah gets a little help with a double team, the opposing defender flat-out isn’t making the play. He also has good anchor and is able to stand his ground while pass blocking against good competition.
’25 RB | Jaylen Spates Jaylen Spates 5'6" | 180 lbs | RB Cass Technical Highschool | 2025 MI | Cass Tech | Hudl
H: 5’6″ W: 185
Jaylen is another guy who has an opportunity to earn a bigger role next season. In his few running back highlights, he demonstrates good explosiveness, speed, and some ability to slip past tackles. At most schools, Jaylen would probably be a starter. He also has a few special teams highlights where he shows good effort and speed. I’m interested to see how he’d test in the 40 and 3-cone.
’25 ATH | Kolton Porter | Detroit MLK | Twitter
H: 6’1″ W: 180
Last season, Kolton made a few excellent plays as an outside (X) receiver. A few plays show good hands and concentration through the catch. The play at 0:45 shows great vision and speed on the return. He also has a few good blocking highlights, proving that he can be an all-round wide receiver. He just needs to prove his athleticism a bit more and attend camps to get noticed as a legitimate prospect.
’25 LB | Jermiah Taylor | Cass Tech | Hudl
H: 5’10” W: 200
Jermiah has a good skillset in multiple positions. As an off-ball outside linebacker, he does a very good job at shedding blocks by wide receivers on the way for a good open-field tackle. He’s also decently reactive and had one very good open-field tackle during week 1. As a running back, he flashes very good elusiveness in the open field. He’s also explosive enough to outrun most front 7’s. He probably won’t be RB1 next season, but I think he could break out in other ways in 2024.
’25 DT | Logan Howell | Cass Tech | Twitter
H: 6’4″ W: 320
Logan is an absolute menace. Where I think he lacks in explosiveness and athleticism, he more than makes up for it with some of the best hands and block-shedding I’ve seen from an interior defensive lineman. That said, he’s an elite run-stopper. Several highlights showcase great anchor, then a quick move to the right or left to seal the running lane quickly. With better explosiveness, athleticism, and pass rush, Logan will be a B1G 10 prospect.
’25 OLB | Michael Job | Detroit MLK | Twitter
H: 5’9″ W: 175
Michael is another highly skilled but undersized linebacker. Michael does a good job at filling running lanes and defending anything between the tackles. He plays well, has good technique, and could develop into a good player if he stays working during the offseason.
’27 OL/DL | Jeffrey Bonds Jeffrey Bonds 6'1" | 225 lbs | OL Detroit Renaissance | 2027 MI | Renaissance | Twitter
H: 6’1″ W: 230
Jeffrey is a solid tackle for Detroit Renaissance. There are some plays on his film with a good kickstep leading to a pass block pancake. He’s strong, balanced, and dominant when he wants to be. Where there are plays with solid fundamentals, there are other plays where he’s off-balance and his feet are wonky. He has all the tools to be a great offensive lineman; he just needs to be consistent.
