But we’d be naive to think we’ve evaluated everyone or didn’t miss a few along the way.
PRZ South Carolina is constantly looking at as many of the 10,000-plus prep football players in the SCHSL and SCISA ranks as possible.
Now, the Community Film Room is back.
In each edition, we’ll break down five unranked players from across the state to let you see what we’re seeing. The series will lead right into the the start of the spring rankings cycle, the ever-growing importance of the summer schedule and then the 2024 season.
In Episode 55, we’re setting up shop in the trenches, highlighting some dudes who are pretty good in close quarters.
Hunter Drawdy
Hunter Drawdy
Formerly a defensive lineman under the previous staff, Drawdy was moved to the interior of the offensive line in 2023 due to need. He far exceeded the expectations, especially at center, where he and 2026 quarterback Henry Rivers Henry Rivers 5’11” | 160 lbs | QB Berkeley | 2027 State SC developed a connection that will be one of the Stags’ biggest strengths heading into next fall.
Drawdy’s role in the entire thing works because he’s as active as the offense is fast-paced. He can get out of the block and move laterally or downfield when he needs to.
He also adds to his worth by handling long-snapping duties, keeping a ton of the team’s rhythm going even on special teams.

Treyshawn James Treyshawn James 5'11" | 185 lbs | DL Darlington | 2025 State SC
We’re going to start with this: There is only a slim chance James ever lines up at the next level like he does now at Darlington. Now let us get to the “but.”
At 5-foot-11 and 185 pounds (at the combine after significant weight cutting during wrestling), James is fast, as in clocked at 21.47 miles per hour. And he’s fearless. And he’s really good at edge containment (56 total tackles). And he can rush the passer (five sacks). And he can take get around much larger offensive linemen (15 tackles for loss).
So while a switch to outside linebacker may be in his future, the tools are there for him and he’s got another year to put them all on display for the upstart Falcons.
Daniel McCaskill
Daniel McCaskill
The more we jump into the team Leon Boulware took over earlier this offseason, the more we like the Demons’ chances of getting back on the right side of the Win-Loss column for the first time since 2009. McCaskill is another one of those reasons.
The huge left tackle has the type of size that a lot of colleges are looking for while also knowing how to leverage that size the right way against faster defenders.
McCaskill has highlight after highlight of his rolling pass rushers out of their comfort zone, allowing their own force to carry them outside of anywhere they can cause damage.
Antwain Mitchell
Antwain Mitchell
When we saw Mitchell at the Woodland combine, he immediately jumped off during the stations portion. Most notably, he’s 6-foot-1 but has an 80-inch wingspan. He ran 19.16 miles per hour despite weight 265 pounds.
But is he simply a combine warrior? Yeah, no.
Last year, using all that athleticism, Mitchell put up 37 total tackles and four sacks to go along with a team-leading eight tackles for loss. His first step is good, but his finishing capabilities are even better.
Wilder is about a half-step away from making some serious waves. And while he’s already got the size, what his coaches are hoping he develops over the course of the next few months is a mean streak to go along with it.
It’s entirely possible, as Wilder has also recently embraced the weight room. He’s improved upon his numbers there along the way.
It’s made him an even better tackle and simultaneously opened up some huge holes for Troy Timko Troy Timko 5’10” | 200 lbs | RB Hilton Head | 2025 State SC – the team’s rising senior tailback who also ran for 1,220 yards and nine scores last fall. If Wilder hits that next phase, each of those two players’ stars should continue to rise.
