Several colleges including Limestone, North Carolina Central, Livingstone and Johnson C. Smith was all on hand to coach close to 65 prospects through the L-Drill, 40-yard dash, pro shuttle and broad jump along with individual drills.
We’ll have much more in depth analysis on what we saw from the drills and from some of these individual players later, but we wanted to quickly highlight who walked away with MVP honors as nominated by the coaches from Sunday’s event.
On the offensive side, the running backs who walked away with MVP honors were Michael Doe Michael Doe 5'9" | 180 lbs | RB North Augusta | 2026 State SC of North Augusta, Mikel Hutchins Mikel Hutchins 5'7" | 160 lbs | RB Lewisville | 2026 SC at Lewisville and Drelyn Brown Drelyn Brown 5'8" | 145 lbs | RB Silver Bluff | 2027 SC at Silver Bluff. At the quarterback position, two Catawba River Region quarterbacks took center stage as Jack Bick Jack Bick 6'1" | 175 lbs | QB Legion Collegiate Academy | 2026 SC of Legion Collegiate Academy and Rock Hill’s Ian Grissom Ian Grissom 6'1" | 160 lbs | QB Rock Hill | 2025 State SC walked away with honors.
One quarterback in the Upstate shined as Greer’s Kaden Rowland Kaden Rowland 6'1" | 170 lbs | QB Greer | 2025 SC walked away as an MVP.
Wide receivers from the Midlands to the Upstate walked away with honors as Weston Willis Weston Willis 5'10" | 160 lbs | WR Hillcrest | 2025 SC at Hillcrest, Stephen Collier Stephen Collier 6'3" | 210 lbs | WR River Bluff | 2025 State SC at River Bluff, Jamarcus Smith Jamarcus Smith 6'0" | 185 lbs | WR Gaffney | 2025 State SC (pictured above) of Gaffney and Ashley Ridge’s Jaiden Deweese.
Up front on the offensive line, Frank Cahoon of Northwood Academy, Nathan Carson Nathan Carson 6'5" | 255 lbs | OL Gray Collegiate Academy | 2027 SC of Gray Collegiate and T. Austin Kanyika at Aynor. William Hollifield William Hollifield 6'3" | 230 lbs | TE Philip Simmons | 2026 SC of Philip Simmons and Cameron James Cameron James 6'2" | 205 lbs | TE Clover Highschool | 2026 SC of Clover were the MVP winners at the tight end position.
On the defensive side of the ball, walking away with MVP honors at linebacker was Katarius Gill Katarius Gill 5'10" | 180 lbs | ATH South Pointe | 2026 SC -Mcdonald of Rock Hill, Jordan Conner Jordan Conner 5'10" | 195 lbs | LB Ben Lippen | 2025 State SC at Ben Lippen and Caleb Costantino Caleb Costantino 5'9" | 185 lbs | LB HILLCREST | 2025 SC of Hillcrest. In the secondary, Barrolyn Dixon from Ben Lippen, Isaac Smalls Isaac Smalls 5'9" | 175 lbs | DB Beaufort | 2026 State SC from Beaufort and Kaleb Simpkins Kaleb Simpkins 6'0" | 170 lbs | DB Strom Thurmond | 2026 State SC from Strom Thurmond along with Hampton O’Donald Hampton O’Donald 6'4" | 240 lbs | DL West Ashley | 2025 SC on the defensive line from West Ashley were all winners.
