Hilton Head’s defense has also shown out through its first two games, and it all starts with monstrous lineman Shaikh Thompson. He was a key presence to shut down the Tigers’ run game, finishing with 5.5 tackles and providing non-stop pressure on the Claxton line. His measurables and talent impressed in the offseason last spring, and he’s translating his skills back into in-game action for the Seahawks. He will be a vocal leader with his communication and drive on the field as his team looks to surprise in Region VII-4A this year.

Shaikh Thompson Shaikh Thompson 6'4" | 230 lbs | DL Hilton Head Island | 2024 State SC took the Lowco by storm in 2022 and delivered a breakout campaign for BJ Payne’s Seahawks. His explosive movement off the line of scrimmage and quick feet allow him to thrive in the backfield. Thompson took the top honors at his Palmetto Combine Series event last month and is well-tooled to be even better in his senior season. He should be far and away the most talented player for the Seahawks this fall.
