Top Prospects:

[player_tooltip player_id='560862' first='Hayden' last='Stepp']

Stepp's the clear #1-DB in Nevada's 2027 class after his strong freshman season and could be one of the premier CBs in the country by the time he's a senior. He's a highly skilled athlete with the length and instincts to be an elite playmaker on the perimeter. Stepp added a second offer from Miami in February and should continue to generate major P-4 interest over the coming years.

[player_tooltip player_id='560844' first='Justin' last='Colin']

Colin showed flashes of elite talent and potential as a freshman in Bishop Gorman's secondary. He's a long, fluid athlete with a smooth backpedal, clean technique, and compact breaks. He's physical as a tackler and closes on routes with speed and efficiency. Colin should be firmly on the D-I radar by the end of 2024.

Names to Watch:

[player_tooltip player_id='940894' first='Eddie' last='Loera'] and [player_tooltip player_id='940895' first='Jalen' last='Alvarez']

Loera and Alvarez earned some playing time as freshmen among a talented Desert Pines' secondary that featured two D-I CBs in [player_tooltip player_id='819547' first='Jaylen' last='Allen'] and [player_tooltip player_id='817707' first='DaMari' last='Washington']. Desert Pines has multiple DB prospects coming through the pipeline, but these two 2027s should be players to keep an eye on in the coming seasons.

[player_tooltip player_id='581822' first='Armani' last='Walker']

Walker showed elite-level speed and twitch in the secondary as a freshman for the 2A NV champs- Lake Mead Academy. His natural athleticism jumps off the tape with the speed, quickness, and, agility to be a difference-maker with the ball in his hands. Walker, who transferred to Bonanza this offseason, should attract D-I interest with the athletic skillset he offers.
