Maddux Hermestroff was a significant asset to Mundelein’s defense last year as a junior. He possesses exceptional speed that allows him to cover a lot of ground in the secondary. Along with his speed, his instincts put him in great positions. Once he diagnoses a play, he gets to the spot to make a play. He is also excellent in run support, getting downhill to tackle ball carriers for a loss. His overall playmaking ability will be on full display next season as he is destined for a breakout senior year.

Zook is a savvy player with the ability to create turnovers for his defense from his safety position. He excels against the pass, trusting his instincts to position himself effectively for defending against passes. As a junior, Zook has been moved around within the defense, utilizing his versatility to benefit the team.
