Located in the heart of New York right in Poughkeepsie Marist has long been a solid D1 program in New York. With 12 New Yorkers already on the 2024 roster Marist will add these 5 prospects from the home state, none of which play the same position making them one of the top D1 programs when it comes to having NY players on their roster. Marist will add some prospects who I believe will have a strong impact on the team in early in their career and while it is always hard to predict player playing as freshman I think a couple of these prospects by the end of their second season could be among the top players in the program. This article will include both scholarship and walk-on players because not only are both integral to the success of college football programs but at the FCS level with a lower scholarship limit, walk-on prospects are recruited just as hard and often receive playing time.

Antoine was a dominant runner on Cardinal Hayes Catholic League State Championship team and Marist gets a back who runs with great contact balance, a strong lower half, and the burst and explosiveness to make guys miss. Antoine is willing to put his pads on anyone and his physical running style wears down defenses. He showcases the speed to generate long runs of 30+ yards and just has a knack for making the right cuts up field finding space. Antoine is a really solid back who has a ton of experience and success on the ground.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"edit","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-660c6f7805d0e"} /-->

McCauley plays the game with a physical downhill presence. He finishes plays with violence and has the burst and closing speed to make plays in the backfield. That being said, McCauley has the verified speed for a LB that you rarely see. McCauley ran a 6.69 55m dash during the indoor season which is up their with the best sprinters in New York. Only difference is McCauley is 20-30lbs heavier than most of his competition. His explosive movement skills and play style with a high motor an elite combination at the next level. Marist is getting a talented prospect who has athleticism you cannot teach.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_1_player":["604443"],"_player_evaluations_1_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"[player_tooltip player_id='604443' first='Jack' last='Melore'] is a player I have had a pleasure of seeing at multiple camps and he is one of those receivers who beyond having the requisite athleticism to play at the next level has smooth suave feel to his route running. Melore knows how to get open and whether is his precise footwork or his body positioning he can do so at all three levels off the field. Melore is not just a high level camp WR who has success without the pads. Everything you see in his camp tape is what you see when Fall rolls around. Melore also has some of the best hands in the state, his ability to use concentration and catch away from his body consistently translates to the next level consistently and his ability to make plays after the catch come down to his vision and ability to use blockers finding open space and creating tough angles for defenders to catch him.","_player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_2_player":["806558"],"_player_evaluations_2_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"[player_tooltip player_id='806558' first='Jake' last='Fabian'] out of Shoreham-Wading River will play offensive line at Marist and the two-way player shows some major promise. Fabian will need to continue to add bulk and strength to his game but he plays with really high-level hand usage and utilizes his length very well. Fabian has a strong initial punch and has really good movement skills showing the ability to block in space on screen plays and get to the second level quickly. Fabian plays with good leverage and although only listed at 260lbs has a strong lower half that helps him anchor, hold ground, move guys around when he moves his feet. A talented OL prospect who shows some high-quality skillsets headed to Marist.","_player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_3_player":["405249"],"_player_evaluations_3_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"[player_tooltip player_id='405249' first='Lucas' last='Hunter'], a TE prospect out of Trinity Pawling was a two-way player in HS but showed some solid versatility offensively in his tape. Hunter, one of the stronger blocking tight ends in the class has good size at 6'3 225 and can line up as an in-line TE, H-Back, or out in the slot able to effectively block defensive backs, linebackers, and has shown on tape he can be an impactful blocker against defensive ends. Hunter has some solid tape when targeted, is is the type of TE target who excels at finding open space and is a reliable target over the middle of the field. Hunter's blocking ability will be what gets him on the field at Marist but he shows the skills to develop into a versatile TE prospect for the Red Foxes.","_player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":4,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"edit","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-660c6f7805df2"} /-->
