While it is too early to evaluate a majority of prospects, we will take a Quick Look, and list some Pro's, and some areas the prospects should look to work on as they progress through the High School Level. In this article, we will look at three 2029 Rising Linebackers, from across the state of New York, who are catching scouts eyes.

Mack was another 2029 Player I enjoyed watching at our Prep Redzone New York Showcase. Mack was on the smaller side of the spectrum, but the 2029 Prospect, played with a high motor, and attacked every rep and drill.

He measured in at 5'5" 170-Pounds, and has plenty of time to grow, and as a Freshman, is at a solid weight mark. He was a quicker athlete in drills, and got downfield in a hurry, forcing the RB's to make quick decisions. His footwork was solid, but can be improved as he continues to progress.

Mack had a solid showcase, and will be a player to watch in the CHSFL soon, and his skills with work, can certainly translate to the next level.

Another prospect, who came to our Prep Redzone New York Showcase, was Brayden Wood. The Friars prospect, measured in at 5'6" 212-Pounds, displaying a solid build for a Linebacker. He has plenty of room to grow, being only a Freshman, and the St.Anthony's prospect, also displays some versatility with the ability to play on the offensive line if he were to grow and gain weight.

Wood had a solid showcase in Warwick, and displayed flashes of potential. In his combine portion, he was a solid tester ranking in the middle of the pack. In 1v1 Drills, and Indy, he displayed good footwork, with the ability to move with a quick burst of speed. I did not see many coverage reps of him, which is a mistake on my part, but nothing egregious stood out from the LB side in those reps regardless.

Wood has a bright future ahead of him, and can easily be a top playmaker in the CHSFL in a few years, especially with the physicality I have seen from the Friars Defense over the years.

Hines is a prospect who is on the raw side as a Freshman. Standing at 5'11" 165-Pounds, the NFA Prospect, displays an undersized build for a Linebacker, but has plenty of room to grow into his build. 200-Pounds, should be the target weight for him to help fill out his build.

Hines has limited film, and from what I saw played on JV as a Freshman. He displayed a High IQ, and good footwork from what I saw, and has the potential to become a big time playmaker for his squad.
