Here’s my list of the most intriguing 2028 prospects on the field last weekend.
In the first place spot on my list is Nate Dye Nate Dye 5’10” | 165 lbs | QB Station Camp | 2028 TN , a quarterback for TN Stars 7v7. What impressed me about Dye was his ability to run the offense with ease, proving his quick release and accuracy in the air. I also liked Dye’s footwork and ability to maneuver the field to look for an open receiver. Dye’s calculated decision-making was another facet of his playstyle that made a huge difference offensively.
I am additionally impressed with Peyton Wireman Peyton Wireman 5’10” | 165 lbs | QB TN , a quarterback for Top Boyz 7v7. Wireman caught my attention with his confidence at the helm of the offense, showing off his quick execution off the snap as well as his deep passing skills. I also liked Wireman’s ability to scan the backfield and time his throws under pressure. I also liked Wireman’s ability to complete the short pass from along the edge.

Claiming the number three spot on my list is Deuce Singleton, a wide receiver for Camp Elite 7v7. In addition to outstanding size, speed and versatility down the stretch, what made Singleton so dangerous was his relentless movement in the backfield, proving his athleticism and ability to jump in front of the pass at the last minute. I also liked Singleton’s ability to utilize his core strength to win in coverage.
Ayden Dunlap
Ayden Dunlap
Another skilled prospect to keep an eye on is Ayden Dunlap, an athlete for Legacy U 7v7. Dunlap caught my eye with his solid footwork and explosiveness down the stretch and from along the edge, utilizing his electric speed off the snap to make a difference en route to the backfield. I also liked how Dunlap could read the pass, pushoff the defense and get his hands around the ball first.
Trey Youell
Trey Youell
Coming in at number five on my list is Trey Youell, a quarterback for Mid-TN Wolfpack 7v7. Youell impressed me at the helm of the offense due to his outstanding arm strength and precision in the air. Youell’s ability to capitalize on the deep pass in crucial moments also stood out, proving he can complete the long pass under pressure. Youell also showed off his ability to maneuver the field.
Jakari Matchen
Jakari Matchen
I’m also impressed with Jakari Matchen, a wide receiver for Kentucky Elite 7v7. Matchen caught my attention with his ability to overwhelm the defense with his breakaway speed, proving he can create seperation and haul in the touchdown pass. Matchen also stood out with his ability to evade the defense after the catch and push the offense into prime scoring position.

Also worth mentioning is Jacoby Thornton, an athlete for TN Select 7v7. What made Thornton so impressive was his size and speed off the snap, proving himself as an efficient weapon in the backfield due to his physical edge and ability to stun his opponent in coverage. I also liked Thornton’s footwork and ability to dodge and weave the defense on the run to get open for the deep pass.
