2027 Rankings Release: Running Backs

After already covering the 2025 and 2026 classes, we have now officially released our initial Top 75 rankings for the class of 2027. With that being said, I will be taking the next week or so to break down these rankings by position. After already covering the quarterbacks, here are our top running backs in the class of 2027 in the state of Kentucky.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_player":["262300"],"_player_evaluations_0_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"[player_tooltip player_id='262300' first='Kasen' last='Brock'] established himself as the top running back in his class with a very impressive freshman year. He finished his first season of high school football with 190 carries for 1,459 yards and 14 touchdowns in 12 games. Brock has explosive speed which he uses to burst through the running lane and run away from the defense on long runs. He is also a strong runner, showing the contact balance to break tackles without losing stride. Kasen also played a key role in the passing game, finishing this past season with 35 receptions for 329 yards and two touchdowns. He had a very strong year, finishing with 197 carries for 1,369 yards and 23 touchdowns in 12 games. Hanshaw is a physical runner, showing the ability to run straight through defenders without breaking stride. He also has impressive vision, showing the ability to find the running lane and hit it with a sense of urgency. Hanshaw also caught 10 passes for 85 yards and played a key role on defense, finishing the season with 51 tackles, six tackles for loss, and two interceptions. He finished this past season with 77 carries for 524 yards and five touchdowns in 11 games. Gardner has dangerous speed which he uses to run right through the defense on long runs without being touched. He also has shown the elusiveness to make defenders miss once he hits the open field. Jamarion also played a key role in the passing game, finishing the year with 20 receptions for 188 yards and two touchdowns. He split carries but was very productive when on the field, finishing the year with 30 carries for 367 yards and five touchdowns in 12 games. Williams has shown the speed to get to the outside in a hurry and get up the field to break away on long runs. He has also shown the elusiveness and contact balance to make defenders miss in the open field. Caven also came away with one interception on defense this past seasons. Berry was very impressive when his number was called this past season, finishing with 52 carries for 273 yards and five touchdowns in 13 games. Berry is a downhill runner that does a great job of finding the running lane and hitting it with a sense of urgency. Once he hits the open field, he has shown the elusiveness to make cuts to make defenders miss.
