Poole checks into our rankings just inside the top 5 overall, and takes over the initial number one offensive line spot in our rankings release. He can provide nice position versatility along the offensive line, but his growth potential suggests he might be a tackle at the nest level due to his length and frame. Poole already has ideal size for the position, and a longer frame with the ability to continue packing on more weight as he progresses through his prep career. He bends well in his stance, can get out of it quickly and gets immediate vertical push with a strong base, solid body control at the next level and shows he can block out in space/pull when needed. He is very strong for his age with a high floor moving forward.
Huskey made a splash at the Varsity level for the state champion Knights, and did plenty of damage from the slot and on the outside. The Freshmen receiver is a dynamic and explosive player with good short area twitch and lateral movement when breaking out of his routes and getting in defenders blind spots. He displays strong hands when making contested catches, and good tracking abilities over the top while knowing when to settle in zone coverage and always seems to find the soft spot underneath before knifing upfield. Look for Huskey to take a big leap heading into year two of his high school career, as he has plenty of experience in big games and has had a very productive off-season so far.
The rising second year player check into our rankings inside the top 4, and the top ranked defensive lineman from his nose guard position. He is a powerful kid that snaps out os his stance, can violently shoot his hands and eat up double teams while showing he has enough twitch to two-gap when needed and plays with a low hat when taking on blockers. He stays very active from the inside and can collapse the pocket quickly, while showing some power rush moves on passing downs as well. As he continues to grow and transform his frame, he should be a force in the middle of this Meridian defense for the next three seasons.
